Unfortunately most knives will actually do that trick ;). There's an even faster way. U can hook the thumb stud on the hem of your pocket to open it lol. The reason why it opens like that is just because it has a decent smooth action on it :)

A signature knife is meant for collecting, not using! What a shame not only to ruin the blade but more to ruin the blade when you can use an ordinary knife.

Made in Taiwan has nothing to do with quality, but if it's made in Taiwan, it is not made in America. An American war hero with a signature knife that's made in Taiwan. Is that what he was fighting for? I'll gladly buy knives made in other countries. I buy knives made In Sweden, German, England, France, and a number of other countries. But those knives come from companies owned by people in those countries, and the laborers are very well paid. The difference is that when an American company has something manufactured in Taiwan, China, Mexico, or India, it's solely because they want cheap labor, and do not want to pay American workers. This may not bother you, but it bothers me, and it damned sure should bother Dale Comstock. I find it despicable that his name in on a knife made in Taiwan because the company is too cheap to pay American workers. If that weren't enough, and for me it's more than enough, this knife is just one more knife like five hundred others. It's no better for combat, as if it makes any sense at all to buy a folding knife for combat, and it's no better for anything else than knives costing half as much. Or less. Having the name of a decorated soldier on a knife made in Taiwan in order to avoid paying American workers leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I'll be damned if I'll reward that company, turn my back on American workers, or soil my pocket by having that knife in it.

+James Ritchie I can't speculate how Mr. Comstock feels about other countries or his name on a product not made in America. You do make good points and I understand them. I assume it's manufacture location was an attempt to keep the price down while using all the right materials. Thank you for watching.
