Great video simple yet effective
Good technical explanation of how to throw the one two punch!
"THE POWER" comes from the hip turn , not the feet
Excellent tutorial.🥊
I don't know why but Dale reminds me of Jim "Smokey" West in this vid. Cheers!
Good stuff.
In my opinion, if we could chose just one art for self defense, it should be Western Boxing
I still have my "American Kombat Karate" VHS laying around somewhere
Good morning I like your videos but what is stiff arm ? Clothing grab but with stiff arm
On a Jab, a vertical fist gives you more distance, is less telegraphic and follows a natural straight trajectory line than turning your fist over. That works well on the Cross but I much prefer a vertical fist for the Jab
I agree. I can land a vertical jab much easier.
@@jordancraig6076 Exactly it's faster because of the trajectory line as well as it's harder to see coming
Here is a funny and true story. I had a pet pigeon that was free to fly away.
At night he would sleep indoors. The room that had his favorite perch ado had a sink with a shelf above it. One of the pigeons favorite games was to show me how bad ass he was on the shelf. He would strut around and then I would tug on his tail. When he turn around I would open my hand wide and slowly come towards him. This is the amazing part. He would raise one wing in the air and come after my hand. It was so funny! He would smack my hand with his wing- it was fast like a snap of his wing. Then one day when we were playing this little game he smacked my hand twice with his right wing and followed through with a snap from his left wing! It was so dame funny I had tears in my eyes… in his world he was bad ass! Another pigeon would not have had a chance!😂😂🥰
I remember when you and your wife use to do Karate in Fayetteville, I was working out over at Leo Wolf's place, got my ass handed to me by Jim Smokey West at the Flaming Mug after he nut shot me while we were in the negotiating phase turns out he was in the ball tap phase while I was trying to figure out what was going on.
Great times
Me Myself & Irene.😂
How many protein shakes have been consumed by these two monsters lol
Punching is BS.. I NEVER punch.. EVER. I love taking on boxers- I never START a fight- but I never run either- and boxers are the EASIEST.. they're cocky and think they're hot sh.. and they're NOT. Their foundations are weak- and I usually take them down before they can throw a punch- and the few that DO manage- LOSE that elbow- because I break it and feed them their face. 1000+ documented encounters- in jungles (for survival) and in line of duty at work- and only 2 losses.. so I must have SOMETHING right.. NOW I'm old- in bad shape (got mashed between two trucks in99 and still here) but now I can take them down even EASIER-- because I use my CANE- which gives me a REACH/SPEED advantage over the fastest boxers.. or anyone else.
Spot the “Who takes more steroids”
Slow? Tell that to Mike Tyson
I would never get muscled up by doing gym work.. Looks impressive but I was told by one of the (late) very well respected kung fu instructors in Australia that beefing up inhibits or slows down the fast twitch muscles. Otherwise this clip i think is very good.
The issue is the way most bodybuilding is done you basically lift, eat, and nap so you lose your agility, and by doing things like partial reps you shorten your muscle fibers which lessens speed and flexibility. However, if you stick to lifting with a full range if motion and stretch your muscle you can avoid this.
@@matthewschafer6359 Oh thankyou, I didn't know that
I have never seen a kung-fu fighter win a real fight in a cage fight or anywhere else
@@alexblue6991 Real fights get messy
Either way, i reckon Dale would be quick enough to do some damage friend. ty 4 vid boys. Easy on the burgers k? ;-)
Are you not concerned about injuring your hands?
I’ve never seen anyone break their hands in a street fight
