- In 2011, the New Orleans Pelicans (then Hornets) traded their franchise point guard, Chris Paul, to the Los Angeles Clippers. However, in 2012, the Hornets picked a superstar lock: Anthony Davis.
While Davis lived up to his superstar hype, the Pelicans made the playoffs only twice during the AD era.
Today, even with new superstar Williamson, the Pelicans can’t seem to win half of their games. With injuries or without, the Pelicans struggle mightily despite their riches of talent.

The biggest problem I noticed with the Pelicans is strictly injuries/management. Their rosters always had the talent, but a combination of injuries and coaching has always prevented the Pelicans from flourishing.

The thing is Zion never wanted to be there to begin with. He doesnt like playing in the Nola. He wanted to play for the Knicks. I'm pretty sure he'll be gone within 5 years, so you might as well trade him while his stock is still high. It could be like when the Kings traded Demarcus Cousins while his stock was high. He was never the same player since after leaving the Kings.

The Pels just can't keep their talent to stay put. They might as well build their team around solid draft picks & underrated veteran players if they want to contend. No point of drafting a generational talent since history has show that they'll be gone in a few years.

Problem About Pelicans Is That They Are Bad At Keeping Players At A Long Term Mostly It's Because Of The Bad Relationship Of The Franchise To The Players I'm A Golden State Warriors Fan in 2012 until now and we're really good at keeping players at long term (Klay,Draymond And Curry) :E

1. I guess Zion will not win a title in New Orleans. He will win it in other team.

1. I doubt he will unless he has a competent roster in the future and wants to commit to pelicans long term.
2. Around 4.5-5. They still have a bunch of young players so it is best to give them more minutes.

I don’t know why we feel so confident to sit on certain shit given our history. That’s one thing I truly hate about this team. If you had one of the greatest players in the league and sat back and looked at the supporting crew compared to the rest of the league rosters it was comical to think anything could be accomplished without having some conflict down the line.
