They were like The Beatles or The Stones to me and my friends. Absolutely obsessed with them in the 80's. Followed them around the UK and Europe as a teenager when we were very probably too young to be doing it. Got in some scary scrapes, but had some amazing times as well. Breaks my heart that their relationship has broken down completely. Let's not forget that they did some amazing things as a band and suffered a terrible tragedy. To be in one iconic band is a miracle. To rebuild into something equally iconic after a completely pivotal member dies suddenly and terribly is probably even more miraculous.
