Castleton Caravan Club Site Pt 2 - Mam Tor and Cave Dale - a perfect day in the British Countryside

Come for a hike with us on a sunny day seeing the British Countryside at its best. If you are unable to take this walk yourself, follow us as we show you the route and if you are able to get out and about maybe be inspired to try, but please take your litter home and probably not recommended on a Bank Holiday 😆
We started from the Castleton Caravan and Motorhome Club site taking a left up the lane following the path by up Spring House Farm to the top of Lose Hill, then along the Great Ridge and up to the top of Mam Tor.
We then travelled down the busy “cheats” path to the road and headed across to Windy Knoll. Following the path towards the junction with The Limestone Way, we passed a very welcome shepherds hut selling cold drinks and cakes, then followed the Limestone Way all the way down Cave Dale. Cave Dale takes you past Peveril Castle back into Castleton and we found this part quite tricky, watch your footing on the loose rocks which is slippery in places from the stream.
