Everyone who wants to be an actor, who doesn’t have parents or relatives in the acting industry, find nepotism “annoying” too.

It is in every industry. My son got his first job through his Godmother. His second he earned and his permanent through a frat brother. It’s the way the world works. Why shouldn’t it be in the movie industry? It gets you in the door but talent keeps you.

@@maurawhelan3530 I think most of us understand that people can help out relatives. I actually got my first job in a store because my mother had worked under that manager. But then, just own it--or at least acknowledge it. I would point out that there are plenty of talented people who can't get in the door.

Nepo babies need to own their title. It gets a foot in the door and that chance is a huge help. IMO, most people who have connections would take that opportunity. After that its all about the work...the production will either like your work or not. And ultimately the audience will definitely let them know if they have any talent. So, it isn't annoying or boring... Saying that is being lame.

Exactly! Although nothing compares to making it on your own, if we were in her shoes, we would probably welcome whatever comes with her privileges. I believe we all use whatever privilege we have, one way or an other... Rather it's beauty, a brilliant brain, skin color, gender, being born in certain countries, coming from a good family, having wealthy parents,or having loving parents.... She seems to have a lot of these privileges, but that's also good for her... She is a lucky woman, but she also seems really kind.

Nepo baby-is not about what your family gives/gets you. It's about what your family name gets you. Your family may have "cut you off" but the name gets you in the door. Don't pretend it doesn't make a difference. Not just in the entertainment world. It makes a difference in all types of situations. I don't blame anyone for using their connections, but please don't pretend they don't exist. There are all kinds of situations where connections help. Celebrities don't live in the real world. Our kids had a leg up due to certain connections we had and we're not talking celebrity or wealth, but other connections via career paths. I don't blame them, but seriously, don't act like you did it all on your own. The name Griffin and Johnson in Hollywood carry a lot of weight. Nepotism exists. I don't really care, but quit playing the "annoyed" crap..

This was my experience seeing Madame Web:
The group of 4 teenage year old girls who was sitting next to my friends and me were being obnoxious the whole time, chatting and taking pictures with flash on. They got up and left at one point (so we thought)
A little over halfway through the movie, an employee comes up to my friends and me and accused us of smoking in the theater and threatened to kick us out, even though we most definitely were not smoking. About 5 minutes after the confrontation, the people in front of us get up and leave and never come back.
Once the movie ends and we’re walking out of the theater, we notice the group of teenage girls had just moved seats to another part of the theater. So they likely knew they were going to get snitched on and moved seats, so we got the blame…it was a wild movie going experience.
Oh and the movie was awful. Probably the worst I’ve seen in the past decade
