GIANT Avocado Toast... But It's CAKE | New Year Resolutions | How To Cake It

- My rendition of Avocado Toast begins with sweet vanilla cake - carved into the shape of a slice of bread. I dyed my sweet creamy Italian meringue buttercream in muted green and yellow avocado colors, and piled it into an oval shaped pan to chill. Once out of the pan, I sliced it up like an avocado and laid it onto the ìtoastî. Finally I garnished my cake with salt and pepper made of blended rock candy and black dragees, as well as dried cranberries and yellow gumpaste circles as chili flakes.

Hawai’i! NOT in the S hemisphere. And it’s not summer. It’s our winter, but it’s beautiful! Not too hot, breezy, sunny. Not beach weather (umm, for locals), but very comfortable.

You also got that buttercream color so perfect I kept worrying it was going to oxidize. It looked that much like guacamole.
It's even better than a real avocado because it doesn't oxidize 😂

I am in the Caribbean and there is not summer, winter or even spring. There's 2 season only which is DRY and WET season. There's no snow at all. So my new years was sunny and hot.

Four years ago When I was undergoing cancer treatment, I stayed in children’s hospital in Boston, so of course my mom had to stay there with me. And since I wasn’t eating anything (and even if I did) my mom ordered me breakfast with toast, but I didn’t eat it so she did lol. Every morning along with whatever else she ordered, she would ask for buttered toast and for days we were getting bread with butter. So she started asked for burnt toast. That didn’t work. The best we got one day was warm bread.
