I absolutely love how vibrant Cranberry Kid is - I also think it works well as an homage to your typical palette while being a sidestep into something new. I don't want Cranberry Kid to be limited edition because I gotta get my hands on it.

Cranberry kid is the only one with filled in eyes. I feel like that should be the thing to make it chase. It's the most different of the 4.

They look awesome! Hiding something in some of the backpacks would be fun (little spray cans or whatever). It wouldn't fit a normal deck, but a mini vivid kingdoms deck would be funny. Or maybe some "golden ticket" like slips of paper in a few of the backpacks where people can zoom with you or something.
Those ideas are so cool!

why does only one of them have eyes. they look weird beside eachother. if you were gunna do eyes do it on all of them or none of them imo. when do we get to know how much these are I would definitely pay 40-50$ for one of these. you almost have to make the one with the eyes the limited addition doing it this way. you want a toy that stand the test of time. you want those little things that experts can point out in 100 years and say " the limited edition has eyes" etc , however thats my favorite one. so im assuming its going to be other peoples favorite one too , and you dont want to only make 199 of something that everyone wants to buy. its tough that you did this with only onee of them with eyes. shoulda made the tangering dream with eyes and none of the other ones and made it limited edition.
My other half just came up with what I think is a great idea, not sure what anyone else would think.
Ten hun should paint a real container and it should go out there into the world, there should be some kind of site or link where people could message when they see it. It would be interesting to see where around the world it gets to and how many people respond. The site address could be on the side. I can just imagine the excitement it would cause when fans of ten hun spot it when they are driving down the highway and it is on the back of a truck etc, or if it gets spotted on the back of a ship.
You coud have a gold mine here , Can the arms be taken off and changed? you could actually sell seperate arms , some with Peace signs , some holding Those funny shape things you make with faces i forget off the top of my head what you call them , You could do so much with arms. Then use the Shipping container as a wardrobe to hold all the extra accessries. Toy lines being able to have these extra income streams ARE HUGE. SOme can be holding spray paint cans and can look like hes spraying the concrete walls you make or the shipping container. Man You have the potential to expand this into a HUGE business if done right,
It may be valuable to give people a cost bracket for the mural to vote more accurately. ;-)
Turn some of these toys into bluetooth speakers. Your music is dope, you should include it in the rest of your work.
Personally I love the eyes of Cranberry Kid. I think it finishes the piece. I know the others have white blank eyes but the style of eyes you do are so iconic. I wish they all had some sort of eye design. But if you make the Cranberry Kid the Limited Edition I’ll be pretty sad because it’s my favorite and I know I won’t be able to pick one up! I’m never that lucky.

They all look amazing, love the Deep Sleep one! Cranberry kid really looks like a limited edition, he's the only one that has irises, it has just a popping color scheme to it and the doodles all over the bag.
I really love cranberry kid! The eyes just add something to it, that almost makes it feel more complete. I kinda wish they all or at least another one also had eyes. I saw someone comment that cranberry kid feels like a limited edition which I agree but I don't think it should be because it's just so cool! The two orange ones are almost two similar colour wise, I think either one could be limited edition, or if possible to change the colors slightly on the limited edition to make it more unique? Maybe a golden backpack? Also love how cranberry kid has little doodles on the backpack. I also love the suggestions that some could have little surprises in the backpack, like a golden ticket or something - oooh what about a golden ticket that leads to an even rarer one, that you only sell like 5 of? Idk just spit balling here, super cool!!!

Ten Hun!!!! i absolutely cannot WAIT for this merch drop, i love the ideas of making some enamel pins, stickers and extras to go along with it but i was thinking u could also design a few masks? the area i live in still require masks to enter most places so i was thinking these cool masks could really become the “statement piece” of everyone’s fits!! i also think by through makin these u could experiment with the medium of embroidery :D
For the contest: perhaps have two, one like you mentioned where the goal is the paint the blank, you could also have another contest where you release the turn-around sketches as a digital colorway contest. Would get a broader audience for those intimidated of painting the blanks irl.
Your two contest idea would also be good for people who can't afford to buy a vinyl. So for the 2nd contest, where they color a blank digitally, the prize could be winning a Ten Hun vinyl of choice. That way the harder challenge has a bigger prize, but tons of people can still get involved and have fun.

So excited to get my hands on the San Andrés colorway! I've been waiting for exactly this project for too long. I imagine you'll continue to have a good working relationship with Martian Toys. For the next design, I would love to see a series of detailed design videos where the community can be directly involved with each step. Like a spiritual sequel to the Vivid Kingdom video series.

Martian toys are amazing. I have a whole bunch of their stuff on the shelf. I'm a huge art toy fan and have a whole bunch of them around the apartment, and my wife fell in love with them aftre we met. Form people like Coarse and Matt JOnes to Colus, Nugglife and Scott Wilkowski there's just so much variety and it's great to see people's collections.
Cranberry Kid - "Limited Edition" for sure. And you must do a glow in the dark mini brick wall mural that coincides with your glow in the dark figurines.

Would be lit if you had accessories for the toys as maybe something extra to wear or even to put in the backpack. Also can’t wait to see your ideas for the packaging for the toys. I reckon you should make another colour way for the limited edition one, possibly including gold or silver elements in it to give that rich and exclusive feel. So excited to see how this project turns out!!

I frigging love these. I'm torn between the OG colors and the Cranberry kid as my favorite. One thing that would be kinda cool was if (like the cards) you put a special surprise in like 100 toy backpacks, but they would be garunteed in the limited edition. Idk how much room there is in there, but maybe a special one of a kind pin or something.

ALSO, can you make a blank thats not glow in the dark? Like a bright white version, as after they’re painted, you wont be able to see the glow much anyway.

Hi Peter I have an idea, I'd like you to put on sale a "random box" in which the painted character cannot be chosen (not including the limited edition) in which the content is not seen either, but that has a discount of 15% or 20% Approximately , this would help indecisive people and those with a low budget to buy a toy, because in my case I'm from Chile South America and I love your work and I even bought 2 vivid kingdom decks but shipping and customs payments make this time I can probably only buy one of your toys, so I don't know if it's profitable for you, but it would be great to have a cheaper and surprising option

This is so badass! I think something cool you could do @tenhundred is maybe add a small metal circle ring and clip from the backpack or somewhere on the figure and then you could design small hang items that could be sold blindbagged and we could all buy and collect them and switch them out on our Hammerhood figures. We could trade eachother if we get doubles or want a specific one.
Some items could be a spray can, or paint brush, skate decks, any items you want to associate with this cool unique street art fig!

SICK!!! As a long time toy collector I approve this goal. I have a few suggestions, for the diy ones offer black, white and glow in the dark options, or clear if that's an option to maximize customization, and to keep inventory easy to manage, rather than produce a ton of colors, those can get offered later on. Keep the variants and releases staggered so collectors can budget for them. Different scaled options would be cool, 1:18, 1:12, and 1:6 scale are the most often bought and sought out, and if you really want to go baller make a handful of 1:4,1:3 ,1:2, 1:1 scaled stuff keep the 1:1 scaled one for the office. The containers are dope, and the brick wall would be sick for dioramas and toy photography, I'd buy those for sure if the price was right. but if possible upscale the bricks to make a 12x12 sheet that will act as a backdrop.

I love the San Andreas and the Cranberry Kid colorways!! I like all of em but those two really pop!
Okay a lot to unpack here so please hear me out:
First, the exclusive color you chose is perfect. I think your original color scheme has to be available, the deep sleep is too “dark” to not have unlimited, and then cranberry kid is *fancy Italian kiss* BEAUTIFUL! I love them all, and I want them all… but l think those 3 are so drastically different that they should be unlimited. The tangerine dream is lovely too but has aspects of the others so I think it would make a lovely exclusive!
Next up, tackling an idea… I don’t know if it’s too late, possible, or even something you’d want… but could we make the elbow joints adjustable? For example: I have Plunderlings (another collectible crowd funded figure), they have crazy articulation in their pieces, so they are very easy to pose. Now I’m not saying go crazy like that, just in the elbow so I can throw that peace up in the air if I wanted. However based off the video of the unboxing, the piece you opened with extra arms, maybe it’d just have to be a separate straight arm to interchange? I don’t know may be a bad idea or too complex.
Last, the wall: I definitely support you making tiny mural walls! However… I am curious what a mural wall “toy” would cost? I’ll have to check their shop for all that info though… Will the wall have an add for the toys on it? Or be a promotion… or maybe that on one side but then the other be an actual tiny mural?
All in all, love the idea, love the toy, will 100% get him, the wall, the crate… I just want to take a moment though and say thank you. You listen to your community, you reach out and ask for our help… but I don’t know how often you sit down and just think of how many of us out here are thankful for all you do, all the time you put into stuff like this, and just the regular videos even. You are amazing Peter, never let anyone tell you otherwise! Keep making amazing toys, plushes, gaming systems, chairs, everything… but just remember one thing, this is your first toy, so make yourself happy with it too! Have a great evening man, can’t wait to follow this toy progress!

San Andres is my favorite because it reminds me of a sunset on the beach, it fits the shark design the best & tells a story. It makes sense for them wear a shark hoodie on the beach in San Andres, bring a backpack, filled with food & art supplies to watch the sunset & paint. Pastel colors have also been my favorite since childhood. I especially like the meaning behind the name & how it honors your family heritage. I'd buy all of them except for the blood orange & black one though.
I agree with your choice of the limited color style. It was the one I had in my head before you chose, for the exact same reasons. You're spot on.

I am into creative art projects and I tend to watch alot of doll repaint videos but after watching you I have to admit I found it inspiring. From a business perspective, everyone seems to really like the Cranberry kid (myself included), and the classic Ten Hun color way is something that anyone buying one is probably going to be looking for. The classic and Tangerine Dream are similar but also very different so it make sense to me to have Tangerine be the limited edition and still be able to give your fans an assortment (after the limited edition ones are sold out [because they WILL sell out]). The darker color way is a super cool option, as well.

I think that the mural backdrop is such a cool idea! I was supposed to get a few of your playing card sets from my wife for our anniversary and i didn't end up getting anything at all.... so I would LOVE to be able to purchase a limited edition version and have the mural as a backdrop for the toy too! If I got the chance, I would drop the cash for sure!

It would be so cool if there was a little coloring book in the backpack and maybe that book could be a real size book in the future. I know my kids would love to color it in with some sick color combinations.

My 8-year-old daughter would absolutely love to help hook up one of those glow in the dark dolls. We enjoyed watching the making of a doll, and I must say, we LOVE the end result.
Tangerine dream is defiantly my preferred colour wave in illustrator, but seeing them all in real life, San Andrés is my favorite.

Will for sure get a blank to paint up. I paint minis for tabletop games and would love to add hammerhood to my collection. Would love to see you paint one up, and maybe some co-lab with another mini painter?!? Miniac, Squidmar, Ninjon, these are some of the biggest names I watch on RUclips.
As for the mural wall, I think it would be awesome to get some of your older pieces printed rather than making all new art for them. Real life murals are hard to own, unless you make them smaller and shippable!

What if you designed a few small things that come with it as accessories that could be put in the backpack or something? Paint roller, cans, giant pencil, etc. Or maybe it could be wearing a necklace that's free moving?
Looking forward to seeing these drop and I'll deff be trying to pick one up!
