This is my favorite Disney movie of all time. I just bought the DVD a couple of months ago. I also enjoyed the 20,000 League s ride at Disneyland in Orlando, Florida when I was a child. Be cool to have a submarine like the Nautilus.
I'm going through a nostalgia kick and rediscovering this movie. I used to love the exhibit that was at Disneyland. I just found this "new" trailer and think it is great.
Really good job. With a little restraint, the Disney folks could update some of the visual effects and freshen up this picture wonderfully. The script is solid and the performances, especially James Mason, have never been bettered. About the only visual effects that you would want to update are the explosions, and the views of Volcania. Great music, great art direction, solid direction by Richard Fleischer. Varies from the book considerably, but I bet Verne would have loved it.
Disney is so busy rebooting all its old classics, but never this one...... and I really can't understand why, I mean sure, its an amazing classic, but that doesn't usually stop Disney from sucking the life and every single last coin out of the franchise....
The reason they haven’t remade this masterpiece is simple: it isn’t universally remembered. They won’t waste time remaking something they know most people don’t even know about.
@@terrorsaur599 I'm fairly certain this one is quite well known, and most people have read if not atleast heard about the book "20 000 leagues under the sea" it's a great story, with good characters, that feel real, and who are neither good nor evil, they just are.
I used to love watching this at my grandparent's house when I was a kid. The movie looks damn good for being shot in the 50s.

this looks so damn amazing for a nearly 70 year old movie.
Excellent job! A modern preview of a classic film. Thank you very much!
+RCSubGuy Thanks very much, I had great fun on this project.
Almost sixty-eight years that the movie has been made!
And 64 years later, the star of the movie is still alive and he was almost 40 when he made this!
Nice touch to Nemo's voice. Really liked that it was both mysterious and terrifying. The insanity of genius.
20,000 Leagues is my FAVOURITE film of all time, and you have done it great justice with this magnificent trailer. Thank you!

Damn man you did an amazing job! I can't get over how good this is.. It'd be cool to see you do some other great classics!
I appreciate that Thank You! It's been a while since I've created a Trailer.

I doubt it. The movie is very inaccurate compared to the book. But I agree, it's fun to watch.
Was just watching this on Disney+ and thought to myself, this would make a pretty awesome modern trailer and sure enough, someone made it :)
Likewise, I want to see Disney revive this movie, maybe to have Michael Douglas star in it as a nice nod to Kirk.
Very well done!
Thanks very much!
That’s how you make a Disney film scary
Nice cut dude
Thanks man

Lol funny u say that because it’s getting redone as we speak
Probably the "ugga-bugga" cannibals. Politically incorrect in the view of some these days.
