- My first little tribute to one of my favorite Hollywood couples. The story between these two is honestly one of Hollywood's gems and both a sad and beautiful one. This video is a little video interpretation of the beginning/good times of their story with a bit of a nod to Tab finally being strong enough to share their story for the both of them since Tony isn't here now.
Dedicated to Tab Hunter & Tony Perkins - and spreading their story.
You'll have to turn up the sound at the 1:26 - 1:41 mark in particular to hear the voice over. I did everything I could to make it audible with the music, but it still came out a bit jumbled.

Two male Hollywood heartthrobs were actually seeing each other privately. I love it. Although sad that they had to hide it.

Heard that there was going to be a movie made about the relationship between these two sometime a few years back…god, I really do want a film to get made.
Really sad though that the two never got to live together as live their lives out fully as themselves. They were soulmates, I could definitely tell. They just look so happy and genuinely in love in the photos that they have together.
I bet they are together in heaven though finally…RIP Tab Hunter (1931-2018) and Anthony Perkins (1933-1992). Hope you guys are living it up up there.
Also, is it me, or does Tab Hunter bear a striking resemblance to a young Jonny Lee Miller at times (or rather Vice versa)?
The film is pretty much in indefinite limbo which is such a shame. Some big gay producer has gotta revive it for us

If Brokeback Mountain could have been made when they were young, they would have been good for the lead characters.

Always wondered why Anthony Perkins married. And stayed married whle he had affairs with men.
It was Hollywood 'code' in that era. You weren't allowed to be gay and a leading man being single for too long was cause for gossip. There was (and is) a network of executives who worked with both female ingenues and leading ladies to 'pair up' the right Hollywood couple.
I know the guys had to keep their gay lives under wrap but don't know what their 'girlfriends & wives' got from it -- I'm guessing positive critical exposure and roles they may have never had the chance to play otherwise.
Any enlightening feedback is welcome.
@@forteboston OF course there were just as many gay men and women working in Hollywood as there are now. nowadays they keep in a secret until their career is pretty much over and then they come out - think of jodie foster. Those days they married usually with partners who were gay as well or who were willing to look the other way foor the money and the fame. there are many examples. Cary Grant was bisexual but he married 5 times. Katherine Hepburn teamed up with Spencer Tracey while she kept on having female lovers and in return was a nurse for Tracey who was one of the worst alchoholics in Hollywood. Mar;ene Dietrich was bisexual but stayed married to her first husband all her life because he gave image protection and he lived with his mistress for the rest of his days without money problems.

Alot of movie stars look like someone you'd see at Walgreens, the camera, lighting etc make a big difference

I think they were both handsome but Tab Hunter probably caused traffic jams. He was striking to say the least.
