Alessandra Drudi I was referring to his personal life. He had to hide from everyone the fact that he had AIDS after his diagnosis in 1990. He hated his dad and often wished for his death and one day his dad died of a heart attack and Tony blamed it on his thinking to be part of the cause. He had some affairs (gay I believe) before his marriage but he was never satisfied and married a woman late. He didn’t like to be the centre of attention which is why he never talked up himself. I guess his life was short lived and problematic and he couldn’t find peace in this world apart from his acting career. He had to show the world he was happy but went through a lot then died of AIDS himself in 1992.
@@TheDeeba2 the fact of his father I did not know... but basically I do not think he was unhappy... or at least I hope so .. when his children were born his life has changed... if he really loved his wife or not we will never know! but we will always know that he was an incredible human and wonderful man! Ps: I really hope he wasn't unhappy .. at least not for his whole life .. I'd die if I knew that beautiful smile was fake😢💔

Anthony Perkins was amazing actor. I will never forget him. He was a very talented and interesting actor for me. His best role was in the film Psycho. I first saw this film last year. Thank you so much for this video. :)
@@mollymoriarty22oh really? I watched it a bit, but didn't realize that exact image belongs to this movie. Also, I have a question. I watched part 1 of his last interview yesterday, and he said "I did a lot of lousy movies". Does anyone know which movies he assumed by that? Like, for example, I like the european era of his career so far, and some films before Psycho, Friendly persuassion, or Fear strikes out. And it looks like throughout his life he's changed his mind about Psycho, accepted it in some way. Am I right?
@@Kt44994 Yep, that scene is about 54 minutes into the movie. Here's a link: ruclips.net/video/3Lj7WtzpO0c/видео.html - As for your question, I can't speak for him of course and maybe someone else will reply with a better answer. But from rewatching that interview he said he was just very highly critical of himself, so even if the audience sees it as a great film the actor might not based on their experience with the film and their close proximity to it. By "lousy" he could mean the script was terribly written or that the actual film set was lazily put together - cheap effects, etc. Anthony praised Psycho in this part of the interview so I don't know where you're getting that from - I don't know why he would change his mind about Psycho other than he just disliked being "typecast" for creepier, darker roles afterward. I heard Psycho's sequels got bad reviews so maybe he agrees - I haven't seen them yet myself.
@@kermitthefrog8897 Yes, he died of AIDS. His most well known gay love affair was with Tab Hunter. He got married to a woman and had kids, of course, but the fact that he died of AIDS suggests he did not give up his old ways.

Molly! Hope you remember me from last year. Sorry I took so long to get to your latest Anthony Perk-Up! (GET it?) I've been thru a lot this past year, and one day I'll write more about that, but I am a survivor and a social justice warrior, of sorts, so for now I'm good. Once again you score! Anthony was truly a gifted individual who represents us mentally ill people. Have you done tributes to other Hollywood stars who are as gifted and as meaningful to the mental health community as well as the world? I'd suggest Marilyn Monroe, as she herself was mentally ill and died before I was born. I still love her, not because she was a sex icon, but as a woman who had to deal with the pain of being seen as a sex icon. I'm a guy, and yeah I do crush on her sometimes, but I try to shatter as many male and/or mentally ill stereotypes as possible, and certainly Anthony helped in Psycho and other movies. Keep doing what you're doing. The world needs a true she-ro like you! Light up the world!!! You rock. And....just remember I love you for being yourself, more than I can say!
Yes, I remember you! Sorry it took so long to reply (busy Christmas season this year, haha). Thank you so much for your comments! I'm glad my videos are appreciated. I have a couple tributes in mind, but hadn't thought about doing Hollywood stars like Marilyn Monroe - I'm sure it'd be fun though! And good for you - what an incredible journey you've been on. I'm glad my tributes help you! Check back to my channel for more and stay safe out there. :)
@@mollymoriarty22 I will stay as safe as possible. You as well, promise? And thanks again for the video tributes! Possible suggestion: Michael Douglas with Saigon Kick, Love is on the Way, cos 1) Michael produced the Saigon Kick album as well as some others, 2) weeeellll cos I happen to love him in his movies. Like his dad Kirk he's a survivor and a romantic at heart, and yes he can be badass for good and bad reasons. See if you can try a tribute like that. And thanks.
