I got Icelandic / Spanish / Welsh / Danish / Irish - the 6 modern Celtic languages have sound patterns and intonations that are similar to those of Dutch / Norse / English etc! I am upper advanced level in Dutch and advanced level in Norwegian and upper intermediate level in Icelandic / Norse / German and intermediate level in Welsh and beginner level in Irish / Breton / Manx / Cornish / Scottish Gaelic / Danish / Faroese / Gothic etc, and learning all Germanic languages, so I can easily recognize words and their sound patterns! But the Irish recording also had a scream at the end! 😂
I’m Turkish and was expecting to hear Turkish (especially bc the flag was in the thumbnail), but was caught off guard when I was able to understand Azerbaijani. Like, it’s almost the same words as Turkish but with an accent.

Hello! I absolutely love your videos! However, could you please also include Romanian in one of them? I have watched all of your language-related videos and I don’t remember seeing Romanian in any one of them. Whereas, some languages, like Russian and Spanish, have been in more than 2 videos. I get it, they’re popular languages, but I believe that Romanian deserves some recognition too!

Is nobody going to talk about the startling ear piercing scream from hell from the Thai woman after she finished speaking.
I got Spanish and Japanese because I speak them. Beyond that I got Irish (sounded Gaelic and like en English native speaker), Xhosa (clicks are unmistakable), and Basque (sounded Iberian but not Romance).
I am in awe of how the Xhosa speaker is doing those pop and click sounds while speaking

Also me after getting only 8 in this video: I am a poser.
I got Icelandic, Spanish, Irish, Thai, Russian, Belorussian, Danish, Azerbaijani and Japanese. Those southeast Asian ones are hard if you don’t know them! Same with the Slavic ones. I thought Bosnian was Czech ... And Bulgarian almost sounded like Portuguese to me!

I got Spanish, Bulgarian, Japanese, Russian, Belarusian, Georgian, Azerbaijani, as well as Bosnian and Serbian (both of which I guessed as "Serbo-Croatian" because you can't really tell the difference unless you're from there). Ashamed of myself for not recognising Icelandic and Albanian (even though I did guess "something Scandinavian" and "something Balkan"). For Xhosa and Marathi, I was able to identify the genetic affiliation (Khoisan and Indo-Aryan respectively).
