Apples and oranges. There was a support vessel with the sub and it was tracked so they knew the location it was in, plus the area around the titanic has been explored a lot, including currents. Even then it still took several days to find it.
For MH370 it was unsure where the airplane went down in the ocean due to the person turning off the transponder, and there were mistakes made specially in the crucial moments after it first went down when the black box would have been active. Now after some new discoveries on location due to brand new techniques involving disruption of existing telecommunications there is a clearer idea of where it could be. But you need to look at how vast this expanse of ocean is. It is huge!! Also the plane crashed on the surface, probably breaking into many pieces. Many of those pieces would be fairly light and subject to the tides and currents (e.g. some large pieces of wreckage have been found on the shores in Asia and Africa). Any that did sink. Would be scattered over a large area many miles from where it entered the sea. The sub was designed to sink quickly in the water and was controlled by humans to quite a depth before it imploded, it would not have had the opportunity to stray far from where it imploded.
Ask anyone who works on the sea about how much things can drift in even mild tides...

Long post ahead, just my thoughts on these events and wondering if anyone else is thinking the same thing. I know not everyone will agree with my theories but doing best to stay on point.
Titanic sank in 1912, taking 1500 people with her. Everything surrounding that ship had red flags from cheap materials supplied by a guy who was about to get fired, warnings fallen on deaf ears, the "unsinkable" invincibility complex, low fuel thanks to coal strikes, lack of training, for some reason the captain called off the lifeboat drill, and apparently only 8 out of 100 scheduled firefighters even bothered to show up to work?? I could go on for days but suffice to say, all the passengers were blindsided in heading towards an imminent horrific death for many, and those who Did survive carried that trauma for the rest of their lives. Nobody signed up for that. None.
Fast forward to 21st century and there are bitches running around with money to burn who don't like to listen to anybody, especially when being reminded they're not immortal. They didn't try to go on the behalf of history and science, they try because they can. They were repeatedly warned in their legal documents that their sub was in no way structurally designed to make that kind of descent, and what did they do? They went anyway, in an unstable vessel with a distasteful name. See the difference?
I don't know about you guys but if I were a Titanic victim and some rich bozo decided to throw an underwater party at my gravesite - a decision that I did not get to make - and really didn't think I'd get the reference behind their name? I would be Livid. From everything I read about that CEO, he was too arrogant to believe that someone other than himself could have had more knowledge in his own field, and too narcissistic to care about how the risk affected others. I don't even pay that much to paranormal stuff, but having a mob of angered spirits striking out at some disrespectful know-it-all, well, makes sense to me, because if I were a ghost I'd have probably gotten retribution for that CEO. The other guys on board didn't deserve what happened, so in a way they were victimized too. Goes to show, just because you Think you Can do something, doesn't mean you should.
TLDR: Stockton Rush refused to listen to safety concerns so a mob of angry spirits killed him for practically tapdancing on their grave. Insulting them with the sub's chosen name didn't help his case either.
