Amazing :) Better than the original and she is so real.. she sounds exactly the same on her music videos and on glee . Its just amazing to finally have someone that uses her real voice and not autotune.
No need for auto-tunes with a voice like that - This is a wake-up call for the music industry, this is what real artistry is all about not lip-syncing to a studio enhanced song - artists like Jessica need supporting before the music industry is filled with artists like W Houston courtesy of modern technology (getting better all the time). I would much rather a singer sang live with a few backing dancers than lip sync to a auto-tuned backing track - Save the auto-tunes for the album (if you must) live vocals mean live, then we can sort out the wheat from the chaff or else the music industry will lose all credibility.
She has such an amazing voice. She's so young and she's got so much promise in her future. And thank you to Zedd for making such an amazing song.

This is live singing folks for those who aren't aware that there are actual reals singers out there still and not like all these singers we hear on the radio that use auto-tune and sound horrible live. The only person as far as i saw who can really hit the high notes clearly in the chorus. Even better then Foxes, because this is a clear acoustic performance, instead of Foxes' studio fixed original one. If you heard when Foxes singing live you definitely feel the difference.

***** You're wrong! Foxes live performance of this song at David Letterman show clearly shown that she struggled and had difficulties in putting emotions to it. Many listeners were fooled be her recorded originally enhanced, and auto-tuned version. Only live performance can give justice to this song just like what Jessica did! It's time to get real!

Jessica overpowered the song. She hit the notes, but gave the song the completely wrong emotion.
Foxes did struggle with the high notes at the Letterman performance, but the vulnerability and breathy-ness (not a word, couldn't think of one) of her voice gave the correct emotion to the song, even if it was pitchy.
This is where Simon Cowell would pop-in his "Cruise ship singer" comment. Anyone can hit the notes or learn to, but emotion is just as important, if not more so; and that is something you can't be taught, you've got to be able to find it for each song almost instinctively.
So how about you suck back, reload, and get real.
PS: If you're fooled because a singer was enhanced via auto-tune, you're a fool yourself. Every single song you hear is enhanced. Stop being naive.

She will not be the American Idol runner-up (should be the actual winner if the results were not rigged) and American Got Talent semi-finalist if she didn't passed the criteria and satisfied the judges/viewers judgment. Comparing her live version w/ the enhanced, edited and auto-tuned version of the original singer has no merit at all and obviously the latter will not even pass the first round in any singing competitions. Also I don't get where you're coming from saying that she isn't talented. I never said that. I just said her voice is wrong for this song. And even that is a half truth, if anything her voice COULD BE fine for this song, if she sang it more breathy and less powerful. Power is a gift, but you gotta pick your spots. This song is 7/8 quiet and vulnerability and 1/8 power. She sang it 100% power.
Also I never claimed I know better than "music experts". However, both AGT and AI are publicly voted shows with the exclusion of the early stages so to really say this is proof of talent is a very shallow argument. If anything you expect be to believe that everyone in the US is a musical expert or can detect proper pitch, timbre, etc.... which I'm sure you know isn't correct.
Foxes won't pass the early parts of a singing competition? Yet she has a record deal given to her by industry verified MUSIC EXPERTS? I think you just shot yourself in the foot.
Oh and to clarify, I was comparing live version to live version. Foxes struggled at the David Letterman show, but to say one performance is indicative of one's talent is pretty inaccurate. People have off days, even the best singers have rough performances. She performed it in other places, where she did a lot better. Notes were hit, and emotion was conveyed. Now to reiterate, if Jessica did it again, and sang the song more softly and with more emotion, then my opinion would change. I'm open minded, unlike yourself.
I think it's pretty clear now that the only person being fooled here is yourself. Now go back to your third-world hovel or get schooled again.

As far as I know, they have worked together on *this* and the iTunes Session EP (which is equally as awesome). I REALLY really hope they work together on an original song together in the future, maybe even on a Deluxe Version of *True Colors*!! :D They just work so well together...
