Great video and great to see someone dedicated to the hobby, as am I.
Great tutorial. Thanks!
I want to learn stone cutting, and polishing but don't know where to begin. This was a great starter tutorial. My Dad, who passed away has so many tools, and he even invented a casting machine. Unfortunately, I have no idea on how to use any of these.
really great info
As someone who's interested in doing this kind of thing, but has no idea where to start, where should I be looking to get into lapidary stuff as a hobby or possibly a future career?
Located in Rockport Massachusetts!
I've always wanted to go to school and learn lapidary, I love making jewelry, but never got this far with it, and I honestly don't think they have these type of schools in montana.
i would like to see all ur process
where con you get your equipmen? It's amazing
any suggestions on where to get rough stone slabs etc
what is the brand of the cutting machine
Hi George. I am in the market for a new blade for my rock saw. Noticed you had an MK gemking blade on your saw and wondered if you have any opinions about the
UKAM Smart Cut blades with the supposed lined-up diamonds in the sintered cutting edge. Looks great on their cartoon drawing but cartoons are usually advertising
hype. Have you or any of your friends in the professional end of the lapidary business tried this product. Also, as a hobbyist, and just cutting primarily Brazilian agates
for the great grand kids, I would like to find a blade that stays sharp without frequent blade dressing. Thanks for your thoughts.
If anyone is interested in joining a class taught by George in Rockport, MA this coming April, send an email to contacts@villagesilversmith.net. We are trying to put together a long afternoon cutting class on a Saturday in April and want to see if there is enough interest. This will be George's first official cutting class in over 10 years!
