- I've liked this song for years and lockdown seemed like a good time to finally learn all the words so I could sing along!
Here's me singing it, probably one of the first times I made it through from start to finish whilst remembering all the words. Hopefully they stay there for a while as I reckon I could give this one a go at a gig (one day!)

Charles Aznavour 's original version is probably my favourite but Elvis Costello 's version is also good. This is an excellent cover too. Such a beautiful song

Elvis costello is not the original artist of SHE. This song was created by Charles Aznavour, a French singer of Armanian origin, in 1975.
I'm aware Costello didn't write the song. My performance is based on listening to and interpreting the Costello version. It's what I'm most familiar with. Much like someone may refer to an 'Elvis Presley' or 'Frank Sinatra' song/cover even though neither of them wrote many of their songs or hits. In any regard, and especially being a songwriter myself, I happen to appreciate the songwriters also. I've included mention of the original songwriters in the video description.
So beautifully done by Costello. I'm listening to it over and over.

All I can say this beautiful version should be edited into the movie Nothing Hill's ending on all future Blu-ray releases or streaming versions of the movie. The Elvis Costello version is horrible, it is out of key and just about almost ruins the movie. It's like scratching a chalkboard.

Elvis took a huge risk, but found the passion of the song, I think you are not there yet... especially in the middle 8 key change, your voice is restricted and not at ease, perhaps you should try it a tone lower... friends won't tell tyou that, but your singing is not up to standard. I don't feel the passion of the song, in your performance.
