In the past 20 odd years working on light and heavy vehicles / equipment used on gold and nickle mines in the middle of a salt lake in Western Australia. To put it in perspective , these vehicles drive on haul roads which a watered several times per shift ( to reduce dust ) with HYPER SALINE water. This water is 14-27 times SALTIER than sea water!! When they are cleaned it is with the same hyper saline water at high pressure and volume!! Let's add a few other factors like a vehicle's electrical system.....under these conditions I can assure you the hyper saline slurry/water all over a vehicle combined with a power source ie 12Volts or better still 24 volts turns the whole thing into a sacrificial anode!! EXAMPLE I have seen the Alloy door skins on a Kenworth prime mover bubble and sizzle and basically erode before your eyes due to the effect of hyper saline slurry and a door courtesy lamp!!! A stainless steel exhaust system on a Landcruiser last 3 months!! What is the best product to help[ prevent all of this happening bar none?? LANOTEC Type A grease , LANOTEC HD liquid , LANOTEC GP liquid, LANOTEC Steel seal. Type A for all battery/battery isolator and winch terminals etc along with all electrical connectors including Deutch , weatherpak etc ( Better than Tamrock/dilectric grease ).P.S: I am not sponsored nor endorsed in any way shape or form by Lanotec but I do know from hard earned lessons what works and what does not in my experience! LANOTEC works!! Roothy may be a great salesman hands down but he is none the less passionate about what he believes in!
