These actors are terrific. She's every bit as beautiful as he is handsome. But both with fire in their eyes, for life and each other. Kudos to you both!

Don't forget, true love has to be on both sides. As Eliza said, things haven't been the same since Arabella. The lack of trust in the friendship alone! Real love is not fornicating your beloved's worst enemy. Nor someone who has to be manipulative to try to get your love.
I thought in E4 that Wm really looked like the true weasel he is, one with the glint of glee for the love he thinks he's getting undeservedly. Maybe she thought so too when she jerked off her hand.

I have watched this series from the beginning and hated the long waits between the incredibly short seasons. I have PBS passport so I have watched all the episodes for season 4 before they’ve been aired on PBS. I am 75 and very ill. I worry that I won’t see season 5. Watching these videos is sweet.

This video is wonderful! You captured their best romantic moments in all 4 seasons. I think Season 4 is possibly their best season yet. All the storylines with all the characters were very well done. However, I've been obsessively re-watching all of their scenes in Episode 4 all week! 😉

They are endgame. Eliza is even more in love that we could ever imagine and more than she could express.
Exactly. And she showed all that in the pity kiss. That kiss sealed it for Wm. There was no response, no heat, no urge of passion from. It was like 💋 a sister. Wm went into the 💋 very lightly waiting for what cues came from her. SM said so on MP podcast.

I noticed while watching- great casting! Actually, until this video I wasn't totally sure about young Scarlet, though she did a great job(!), but I thought young Duke was perfect. After watching this, the way you spliced and connected made me sure that young Scarlet was a really great match, too!
Season 4 was so anti-climactic! It was building and then... he just left. The show isn't the same without him. How will they bring it around in season 5?! Great video, btw!

Love the season 4 but at the same time it is such a tease. Of course there has to be a season 5 and I hope they finally get together. William has come to grips with his feelings for Eliza and has expressed them. It is Eliza that is conflicted and seems to be holding back. I am very frustrated with her and think she now needs to get her priorities straight.

Excellent combo-- Sleeping At Last (Ryan O'Neal) has been one of my favorites artists for some years, and "Two" is my favorite off the album ( "Eight" being a close second... speaking of, that would be another excellent song for these two).

I've seen season 4 in its entirety, and all I can say is, there had better be a season 5 renewal! Would like to see more young Eliza & William flashbacks too (kudos to the two that play them)!

just finished season 4 and it was sooo good! I did miss William though in the last 2 eps... and we probs have to wait a year to see Eliza be reunited with him which makes me low-key depressed. I guess the only cure is watching this amazing vid 😍

Darn it. Season 4 just began last week on PBS here in the United States. Don't even tell me that William and Eliza don't get together. Going on 90 years ago, Dashiell Hammett created the quintessential married detective partnership, Nick and Nora Charles. Come on writers of this show, if he did it, you can make this partnership work and still have it be interesting an exciting.
I love that observation and comment. Yes! Slow burn is one thing but come on already!!!
I have watched this show from day one. I love William & Eliza, but the disappointment of they not coming together with their love, is now getting ridiculous. I love this series, & every season gets better, but enough with the-will they or won’t they? If Eliza doesn’t fight for William & love him the way he deserves; then what’s the point of tuning in if every week is just another tease? Although both characters “are the show”, if William leaves, then it’s just another detective show.
William, with his love, vulnerability & tenderness is what keeps us coming back. William is the one we love to love. We want to see him have true love & happiness🌺
Please. Speak for yourself only. There are a bunch of us not hoping Eliza will fall into William's hands. Not after what he did with Arabella. He has to pay a price for his poor judgement. As the merry-go-round of will they won't they repeats ad nauseum, this is the endgame. The endgame has nothing to do with the title. Remember that Moonlighting was Rachel News' guide on how not to shorten the life of a series. After S6, I doubt many will be as emotionally invested if they do. Except for the new coming viewership.

While modern shows also drag their feet when it comes to uniting a couple, this show is set during Victorian times, so that's why Eliza isn't reciprocating in the way we'd like.
In that era, what little independence a woman had before marriage, basically was given up upon marriage.
And William hasn't really positively supported her detective business, or indicated yet that he would be okay with her still working if they married.
Yes, I do think his negative reactions towards her are at times justified, due to her tunnel vision when trying to prove herself, and solve a case.
If they don't become a detective team, I just don't see how they're going to progress romantically.
And as far as marriage, I think William has indicated that he'd like to be a father, but Eliza doesn't seem the motherly type.

Also- hopefully with Moses coming back from Paris. I'd also love Hattie to come back, as I think that she and Fitzroy would be so adorable together!!

Love this video, and thank you for making it. I for one am extremely frustrated by the last two seasons of Miss Scarlet and the Duke (SPOILERS AHEAD). I understand that Stuart Martin has other filming commitments, but I watch the show for him. For him to miss 1/3 of the last two seasons (2 episodes out of the 6 episode season) is super frustrating. The show is called Miss Scarlet and the Duke, not Miss Scarlet and Mr. Nash, and if it was, i wouldn't watch it. I feel like they're emphasizing the relationship between Eliza and Patrick, and pushed William out of the way. And while it's clear William loves Eliza, she couldn't even remember to come home on time to see him. He deserves better. It looks like they're separating Eliza and Patrick by season's end, but I feel like she's going to miss him more!
I totally agree. In my opinion, Stuart Martin is the person that makes this show great. Without him, it will be nothing special.
No, no, this tender romantic line between Eliza and William is a “heart” of the film! Even if there is some line with Eliza and Nash I have a feeling that she will realise that William is her life and they will both find a solution to end up together. I want to believe because if Eilza and William end up with someone else it will break my heart 😢😢 I am watching this movie because of them because they are the most beautiful part of the film to me.
After having seen all three seasons, I too am watching because of Stuart Martin. If he goes, I stop watching.
Always and always I keep seeing comments that because Wm really does love Eliza, that she must fully belong to him. We keep seeing her resistance towards him also. She loves Wm but is no in love with him. She is "in care" if him. Like a sister to a brother. Especially, a lil sis who always need big bro's help.
The back and forth and teasing William and Scarlets relationship was okay the first 2 seasons, now it is played out. If William goes. I'm done with the show. I find Nash annoying. He belongs with Arabella!

I've come here after watching season 4.. it was a brilliant season but I'm so upset that William was not in the last two episodes. I did not wait all this time to be denied Eliza and Duke moments. There must be an issue with the actor who plays Duke, this happened last time in season three

@@imisstoronto3121 it's so disappointing isn't it. I noticed that the actress who plays Eliza and also the actor who played William both had colds during episode 3 and 4. I wonder if he got Covid and couldn't continue filming, or maybe he had a private matter to sort out. Either way it's disappointing when you only get 6 episode and he's only in the first 4.
I missed Moses, they tried to bring his nephew in one episode which was bizarre,he was never seen or mentioned again.
My worry is that they are trying to push Eliza and Nash together by the way that they have structured the last couple of episodes, you can really see their chemistry. I just hope that Eliza and Duke are endgame.

@@laurahuffman94 I find it odd that a director would ok that. They are funny about schedule conflictions especially when it interferes with their production. It's unprofessional, he's a big part of the series and I just don't understand why they would be okay with allowing that big of an absence on a regular basis.
I think the writers want to pair Eliza with Nash, and push William out. They don’t like that he is more popular than Eliza. It has nothing to do with scheduling.

Heard he will not be back?? Sometimes writers take too long making people happy, why is that?? Solve murders together and argue happy, people need happy people on tv now a days,
They are afraid of the moonlighting effect 🙄 They wanted to drag that one out until the very end, well now they messed up...
I 've not see season 4 have read the comments though, if as someone said that William is going away to work in America for a year, I think the question people should be asking is not if Eliza doesnt realize that she loves him, it should be do you think William will be faithful while he is away from Eliza knowing how in past episodes he likes women and drink will he be tempted. If so then I think it would be ok for Eliza to date other man even Nash. One last thing people who saying William is the main character both characters make the show, Eliza is the more interesting character for me,a woman trying to make it in a man's world I do hope writers dont have Eliza pining for William and Eliza gets on with her life makes a success of it with our without William. Eliza should not give up her goals.
