I definitely try to check out the route and consider the time of day for sun location when I pick my seat. In this case though I definitely picked this seat for being on the solo side of the 1-2 cabin. Thanks!
For a box set, it doesn't look too shabby...better than my regional AC business class this summer.

I thought AC does hot meals on regional too? Or is that just breakfast? I hope you have a good return to AA next year 😅.
@@GilbertTravels They do on their mainline fleet.. I was with AC Express, so maybe not with their regional contracted fleet...I guess I'll have to book business and revisit it next summer 😏
So how was the AA flight in January? What type of bird was it and did you get meal service? I love reading other travelers trip reports. Usually unbiased and brutally honest.
Maybe I'm crazy, but i love that steak sandwich. I also love flying the E175. The 19.9 is way wide enough I feel. Yes the 20.5 of the 737 is a little bigger, but IMO, the seat cushion is not as soft.
On our last flight we also had questions on what we were eating. Some soggy salad that just, well, let's say died horrifically. But we are true to AA and have a nice 3 hour flight coming up in April (MSP-LGA)
The sandwich was good. Presentation lacking. I will take the solo seat on an E-jet over a 737 any day for seat comfort.

@@GilbertTravels I'm glad I'm not the only 1 that thinks the 175 is better even with the very minor narrowed seat.
Yes agreed, AA does need to step up the food presentation a little, but then again, it's a domestic short haul, so trying to compare it to a Trans-con or international is unjust.
We (wife and I) are just happy they brought back food service AND the pre-flight drink. $12 at the airport is insanity. And nope! I don't feel guilty of having a cocktail at 10am. It felt a little weird doing it at 730 out of San Diego but we weren't the only ones haha.
