Somehow they made a double reference boss with that moai head (it's both SNES Andross from Star Fox, and references Gradius' Moai head level and the boss. And that's not counting the Darius warning).

Good eye! I totally missed the Darius warning. I never got into the series. Something about fighting space fish doesn't excite me

Kinda wish the space harrier bosses lasted longer like the first dragon fright or the masks
I felt the masks took a long time for a space harrier boss. Those dragons go down way too easy though. The egg guy is a joke as well.
