Amazing performance of one of my all-time favourite songs. That said, I'm not much of a Mogwai fan on the whole but when I saw them live they blew my mind for one night only. It's refreshing to go to a gig where the crowd actually shuts the fuck up for five minutes.
This is a really good song the piano makes that much more great. I want to learn how to play this now. I think I can do it the chords look easy to play.
@cixo87 im pretty sure he's using an analog delay to create self oscillation, which is when you set the feedback level to a greater value than the delay level on the pedal and manipulate the the feedbacking signal and the delay response, which sounds difficult but isn't if you have a good analog delay. i know they use ehx memory man delay pedals now but im not sure about back in 2003. a better example of this sound is found on this song on the special moves cd released recently.

I'm emersed in shivers from the first note. This track has had a grip on me for almost ten years. This live version is remarkable.
The first, and best song I've ever heard from this band. It was a real treat to see them play this live at the Phoenix in Toronto.

rak dly-2. they're kinda rare but i got one in a pawn shop for £40. its basicly a loose boss dm-2 clone. still a fantastic pedal
