Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) MX Records - How to configure in cPanel

Google G Suite Mx Records - in this tutorial we'll walk through how to configure Google G Suite MX records in cPanel using the zone editor.
Note: the mx records for gmail noted in this guide are specifically for use with the paid service from Google. If you're using the free, personal gmail, this will not work.

A question tho: Why wasn't the TTL changed to 3600 when you were adding the records?

Now a days, the DNS propagation is faster and changes are almost instant. Yes, you can lower TTL to 3600 when you change records and make sure its changed back to higher values later to avoid frequent queries since MX records don't change often.

Thank you, I was scared to pull the trigger on the MX record changes! However, why don't I have to change the Host Gator Name servers in addition to the MX? Host Gator includes that as a step in their documentation.

Sure - this depends really on how your DNS is configured. We're not familiar with their DNS configuration settings however, the DNS does not always have to use their nameservers.

Our company was using barracuda mail security and now changed to gsuit.. I have entered all records and removed barracuda record which was der. Hi I just follow the Gsuite process and set complete as per Google suit but after couple of days the MX records automatically update in Cpanel and I cant receive any mails now. Why google suite does not provide any solution for this?
