I went swimming here last summer with mates. Next day, we heard a report of a 3m white at the same beach keeping everyone out of the water. They're around.

That's a big bronzie: snout not conical, no caudal keel and upper lobe of the tail much longer than the lower lobe.

Whites have that girthy tail right? I thought it looked a bit too streamline to be a white shark. Cool video though.

Howdy Australia I just may bloody move there, . Riker up surfing we didn't have to worry about white sharks so much because the guys before me that commercial fished a good portion of them use Gill Nets they banned that in the 90s well I can tell you right now the white shark is all over Southern California they show videos of these girls swimming with them I just agree with that I commercial fish for a number of years and got out of it about 5 years ago cuz they closed most of the area I worked at but I can tell you this much the last few years that I did work doing that I just couldn't believe how many of them there were I never saw them like that in the past when I would leave the harbor when I was doing that kind of work early on there be all kinds of baby seals hanging around the last few years I didn't even see any so they ate all them up and you have all these people screaming commercial fishermen are killing celt the bloody idiots warm water kills kelp but that's a whole nother deal I don't get it and cramming everybody into smaller areas to work with all these damn closures didn't help matters and the population exploding all the immigrants it's only a matter of time and I've been telling it to people for years some guy just lost his life up in Morro Bay and I heard about somebody else getting really messed up the other day so and I understand keep our environment as pristine as we can and I'm an environmentalist a practical environmentalist but when someone loses a child to a white shark I mean there's some women saying that you can keep them away from you with Good Vibes that's all fine and dandy but it just isn't the case you're in the water and one of those things comes up on you do not lose eye contact with it approach it directly head-on and get ready to defend yourself that's about the best you can do is punch that thing in the nose as hard as you bloody can and don't let it come up behind you I don't surf so much anymore so I'm not too worried about it a lot of people have their opinions I can respect that but I don't know what Australia's deal is without you guys have a lot of them down there I know that I thought about moving to the South or Southwest of us cuz there isn't all the damn people like this place nowadays and I bring something to the table farming and fishing I can teach young people what to do maybe go partners with somebody I don't know but I'm seriously thinking about it but this whole shark saying it's just it's dangerous they say they don't mean to attack people they don't like us as part of their food but I don't know there seems to be a lot of people getting eaten up around here lately some years back the guy and his gal for kayaking and swimming next to the kayaks off Malibu they found one third of one kayak that's no bloody mistake I thought I had to say something cuz you're not the only ones that got that problem

When a lot of people fish at a particular place, the big fish get smart and are hard to catch. All fish are smart, and they learn their lesson. Sharks learned to stay away from people too when everyone was using powerheads.
Now we have new generations of sharks learning people are an easy feed and taste great.
Look at the Little Bay Attack. Now that shark did not have a taste and back off. It bit the guy's legs off to immobilise him, thinking he had a seal's tail. Then it came back and ate the rest. Same with the Julian Rocks Honeymooners.
I reckon that sharks are just biting folk these days to see if anything is going to happen. Second time around with a human they are just going to have at it, after all the shark lovers give them a cuddle.
People who cozy up to sharks are (a) virtue signalling, (b) looking for online fame and wealth, and (c) don't have any real experience of the sea.
Sharks are stone cold killers that, if you inhabit the places they lurk, are going to have you in an instant. I got attacked once just standing on the rocks. Not even in the water.
      Don't mess with sharks.
