This one is a good one! ENJOY IT. Check the description for links for all the stuff. You are the best.
Andrew, did you catch the dimensions of the building?
Never mind, it was me who missed it!
I used to track guitar in my bedroom. I thought about wearing a motorcycle helmet while tracking with headphones inside to isolate to minimize bleed. Maybe he could do that?
Don't know if this will help Lou with midi keyboard feel issues or not: (Low latency monitoring in Logic) ruclips.net/video/MY9ZfRXEQ8k/видео.html
This one is GREAT. And Birdtalker have a new fan too. Keep up the great work Andrew.
I really really appreciate Louis being honest with his feelings on the space. I hope you encourage future owners to express their thoughts like he has. It definitely helps others to hear what issues people come across that they didn't expect at first and how their space and process have evolved over time!
gon have JESUS TALKS TO DOGS stuck in my mf brain for days now lolol
Logic Pro panning tip for stereo tracks: right click the pan button and select "stereo pan". Then it's more like Pro Tools panning :)
Love these videos!
whoa - what is the default doing though?
@@grammit The default is just turning up or down the volume on each side, in stead panning the left towards the right or opposite. Back in Uni suddenly everyones mixes sound better after someone mentioned it in class😆
Just came across this a few weeks ago. 🤦🏻♂️
This one and Butch Walker's studio have been my fav's so far. Living room vibe, just super nice places to hang & make stuff.
Louis, I do not believe your piano is in tune lol
You can work out of your home with an LLC or an S Corp. The S corp, is best for working out of your home. LLC is great as well. With the LLC they can’t take any money from your personal accounts. Good luck on the space. Great looking studio.
Bless up !!🙌🏼🙏🏼😀
Don't let Tony Anderson see that dusty synth.
Beautiful studio! I could easily spend all day in a space like this.
Me too!
Probably one of my favorite studios ever!
love it ❤❤ Thank you for making us inspired Andrew. Here from Sri Lanka
RE Logic vs. Protools panning, maybe Louis needs to take a look at the pan law settings in Logic?
Pro Tools vs Logic Pro X Stereo Field ? For sure there is a difference because both DAWs have (at default) different Pan-Laws (check Preferences) So what Louis said doesn’t surprise me 🤷♂️ Anyway, to Louis & Andrew…thanks for the great Studio Tour ✨✌️
Weird request, I guess... I'd really like to know what kind of chair is at his desk.
This guy has some serious skills, and so humble too
Wow! Nice intro! Which Mellotron patch did you use, and what pedals? Cheers!
What's the name of the track from Birdtalker on minuto 40:17? Sounds amazing!
Loved the studio, glad that you kept the tinkering with effects in the video. it allowed us to get a taste of his style and I always love watching the "flow" state of different owners as they move about the room. This wouldn't work if you weren't such a good people person.
Thank you Andrew I learned a lot from this video. And the tracks sound amazing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man I want to be friends with Louis.
I'd have an IPA with that guy
Do you perhaps know the exact model of Genelecs used in Louis' monitor setup?
Thanks for the info!
whats the list of mics he has ive been looking for the name of the one to the right of the unidyne 57
Sweet Lou!!! hahaha nice callback to Grind (2003).
I have the same feeling about the panning with Logic and Studio One. I feel more of imagery panning wise is more forward with Pro Tools. I track in Logic then dump into Pro Tools to mix and master!!! I don't know how people mixes work in Logic so well 🤨🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣but I can't do it but I can do it in Pro Tools even Luna!! Forgot to mention I record in Ableton when doing midi stuff works flawless!!!!
pan law?
awesome studio!
Best part of the studio is the pooch at 3:31
Louis seems to be a total nice bro
He's the best
this pedals got me so inspired
Nice, those are my 500-series modules of choice for my home studio. That a very clean Cranborne Camden EC1. The desktop module, that also functions as my headphone amplifier - would recommend for only 400. The nice thing about the CAPI is that they''re pretty affordable. So you can scale a set up of 4-8 of them. To be able to track kick, snare, toms with it, without breaking the bank on mic pres. But still getting such a punchy sound. They're great on electric guitar cabs too, especially fast punch amps like Marshalls, Sovteks etc.. Frees up the Neve's for vocals and acoustic guitars.
So close epic and the split system nope. Lol. Even with the latest from Mitsubishi heavy industries Samsung and daikin there splits overall db is just not down enough other than that top marks. Great stuff keep cool and keep producing.
What size Genelecs?
I may or may not know a guy in the baggage handling industry and I would imagine he'd highly recommend not checking any instruments unless in a very reliable durable gator style case.
Also its always worth trying to carry on even if you know its fully booked because if it does not fit upstairs they will just send it down anyways and it will be the first thing off the plane where you could watch it be handled from a right side of aircraft window.
in my city, that space would be a £500'000 house! glad for him tho lovely space :)
Pretty awesome studio. Definitely saving for future inspiration. The atmosphere seems amazing in there, which is a huge part of the goal. Very cool!
"I've been on Logic since my mom got a MAC" Man, I remember Emagic when it was CROSS PLATFORM!
I though I was the only one who still had a TEAC 3340S. It still works, but hard to find tape for it.
You should check out Nodferatu's Lair. Phil Anselmo's place in NOLA
He's spot-on about MIDI. I don't use VST's - just MIDI-thru on my DAW and the feel just isn't right when I start quantizing. 90% of the time it is better to just play it like I used to do 25 years ago playing straight to tape. Just let it go.
Great spirit. Love the outlaw style. Cheers from Ibiza.
😎🤙Thank you Andrew! Great work Louis! Greetings from Buenos Aires City!
I completely agree about the template thing. But then, I'm only recording my own stuff, so... Cool guy, cool space! Another quality hang, Andrew. Cheers from Scotland.
Midi, Exactly! It never feels right during or after tracking. Never has, never will.
Hadn't watched your channel in a while, what a pleasant surprise! So inspiring, thanks... I hope your channel keeps growing 🙌
Oh man. I feel that BNA flight path. Mines right there too, I’ve got isolation and it still bleeds.
Great space and vibe… the commute is hectic for him though 😅
what was that last synthpoppy song? was that also by Birdtalker? really cool, I want to check it out!
Wow This sounds very Awesome I Enjoyed listening to the mixes of your Presentation
Andrew! You’re looking great dude. Been working out more?
Squatters you know who you are lol. 😂 😂
I just looked you up ! great music men !
Oh yeah... it's Monday... LESS Goooo
I can relate to this studio and the fella. Great video. Thanks
The Best place for put air conditioner
perhaps I will be obsessed with the order in the control room, which this study puts me in a total state of confusion. I don't understand the logic of the acoustic adaptation and the arrangement of the racks. I don't understand his (perhaps unique) workflow. Basically, although there are interesting outboards, this study is unable to convey to me what I would like
Maybe its not that complicated hoss. As he mentioned its not a mix room.
What brand is the 40s student model?
This guy rules and his space is awesome!
Such a cool space and dude! Awesome tour Andrew!
🍄maybe?? 😮in the 🎆🌚of 💎🫤😂
Just saw this. Nice lab man!
Is that P Bass at 41:16 missing a tuner? :O
Holy crap this was so inspiring
what does the project do?
I just love these videos!
This is Nyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyce!
beauty place
nerdbeezy
First all day baby
ill take 2nd.
Rad!
How is he getting audio out of Logic and into the pedals and back into Logic?
Same way you would run it to other outboard gear but using xlr to 1/4
His interface has outputs.
Damn the cassette recorder is so cool !! What a vibe
Agree on the panning in Logic. When I pan hard right or left, I get sound on the opposite side, very subtle but still. I don´t know why, I mean it should be dead quiet.

The subtle Nu Metal shade @ 39:28 👀 Pompous, gate-keeping hipsters if you ask me. Love the tours but that gave me the ick. Would love to hear their music. I doubt it would be the top genre in the music industry for almost a decade 🤔
I actually like Nu Metal. But I also enjoy making fun of things I like. It's okay to not take yourself and your taste too seriously.
Hi there, Andrew! I hope you're doing well. I wanted to bring your attention to the message I sent you through email and Instagram a few days ago, discussing a potential partnership. Take your time to go through it when you can!
