depends on the picture i would say. None of these wins everytime. Im feeling i like the pixel more but i would have to count the times i prefer it over the oneplus cuz i think its close.
Pixel has horrible Portrait which shouldn't be ignored. Infact, it's a huge issue. A good portrait will pop out and leave any normal image in the dust, no matter how good this normal image is. Pixels have horrible edge detection and artificial looking bokeh. I was this close to buying a Pixel but I can't ignore this problem. Waiting for S25 ultra camera speed test, if it's bad like always, then Iphone it is.
Excellent comparison. Both did so good but OP13 just nailed it on most of the aspects but only telephoto lags a bit but that's ok. Happy to see a comeback from OP after long days(a perfect flagflip to offord)... Thanks for the video.
7:58 you should've include the nighttime video comparison as well, especially the front camera video with no direct light source. That's where you will definitely be mad at Pixel seeing its pouring RAIN of noise. You are you all reviewers simply have chosen to stay silent about that? People must know that, and some did even return their phones because of this crazy downside.
Pixel does have some crazy noise at night. It was umbearable i loved the photos but the video killed it for me and the micro jitters in the video too. I ended up giving it back and going back to iphone for now. Might get the OP13 or see what the S25 has coming.
I wish the pixel went back to a little more contrasty look. I would absolutely love something in between these two phones. If the pixel didn't brighten EVERY shadow so much, it would hands down be the best phone out there for photography
It's better having lighter shadows that you can simply turn down in post than having shadows that are too dark so you can't restore them properly without sacrificing image quality.
In a lot of those Pixel shots, they look really washed out with poor contrast. I liked OP's equivalent much better. Also, while recording videos, the mic and the smoothness of zooming in and out is better on OP.
For me, the Pixel clearly wins here. The Oneplus often lacks sharpness where it is needed. It's often too dark or too bright and the videos look much better with the Pixel. Clearly I'm going with the Pixel here!
People. Please. Will you look at the faces captured on any Oneplus phone. Please, notice how the person looks ill, almost as if they're dying, or already dead, or like they spackled their face. Make the connection, for the love of god. Look up "zombie", "cadaver", or anything like that. Watch a zombie movie, play a video game with poor graphics... Then compare to any Oneplus photo of a person. I'm tired of this, Oneplus needs to finally alter their algorithm.
I'm very much leaning towards getting a OnePlus 13 but I'm seeing very conflicting reviews on the camera. Yours is very positive but I've also seen others say it's mid. That's kind of holding me back from pulling the trigger.
Some reviewers are jumping on the previous assumption the cameras are bad when they are not . Plenty of proper comparisons videos where it beats iPhone and pixel and 24 for photos. iPhone is still video king
Pixel stills have not been contrasty since the Pixel 5. On my P8P, I almost universally have to adjust black levels in post to recover any level of shadow in the photo. I'm not really sure what you're talking about.
@johnfreeman440 What? I had P6P then i got P7P. And the shadows highlights the best than any other phone. And the contrasty look seems awesome to me atleast.
My god that pixel look has become a life and characterless caricature of itself. Really glad that chinese oems add some flair and soul back to their processing. Master Mode Auto on OnePlus takes lovely pictures, no reviewer covers it tho. Theyre quite a bit darker, are softer cause they have close to no sharpening and got a ton of mood. Its lovely. Antidote to oversharp super bright hdr smartphone photography.
I have both the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 9 Pro in addition to the OnePlus 13 lol I personally like both when it comes to the camera performance but I'm leaning more towards the OnePlus 13 overall as it captures what I think is the best image.
they're very comparable, however i much prefer the selfie performance from the pixel! the colors, exposure and sharpness of those selfies/selfie videos are just ahead. this is nothing OnePlus can't achieve with some software tuning though, which is what irks me the most. if they'd just turn the exposure down just a little bit, crank the contrast or "dehaze" as much as they do for rear cameras then it would be awesome!
The OnePlus is better. The photos actually have character and the pixel can't come close to freezing motion as well as the 13. I returned my pixel 9 pro for the 13 and have 0 regrets. The Pixel phones are gouging on the price of storage like they're Apple and they do not have the right to do so.
Hmmm the OnePlus 13 is intriguing but I have to agree with the reviewer. I’m not trading my Pixel 9 Pro XL in for the 13. Some of the shots it took were great but it wasn’t consistent; sometimes the colors were off; sometimes the pics were washed out and sometimes the pics were too contrasty. And all the time the video wasn’t as good as the Pixel.

The biggest yet most important weakness is skin tones and lack of autofocus and wide handle on selfie camera@@phandroid
Also is the first photo switched ? I thought the pixel had wider selfie camera
Pixel camera smashes it. Not even close 😂
Google Pixel 9 Pro XL for me 💕
The best phone une 2024 this pixel 9 pro
Pixel could have been better although it is still better than Oneplus, if it has enough power of Soc
Pixel for. Natural colors
🙏🙌🙏
5.55 really bad stabilization for video Oneplus, I am Sorry because for all other situazion to do a god job
King? Not even close…
Pixel video is absolutely shit. It seems the main character don't have enough blood
One plus seems really artificial and a lot of over sharpening
Pixel for me
The photo 📸 quality of the OnePlus 13 like almost all current smartphones over $500 is quite good and will fit 80-90% of people (but contrary to the propaganda it's neither at the level nor better than that of the Pixels, iPhone, Galaxy S), on the other hand, the video 📹 quality of the OnePlus 13 is horrible, horrendous, and I really don't know why no one has the courage to say it 🤔
Ps: and contrary to what OnePlus/Oppo and many media and youtubers want you to believe, the camera 📸 equipment of the OnePlus 13 (especially the ultra-wide angle and the 3X zoom) is a real regression, downgrade compared to that of the OnePlus 12.
Too much agressive sharpeneing the OP vids...Pixel 9 is better on pics and vids
Pixel is miles ahead
The OnePlus is inconsistent
One Plus has bad color science
Pixel is the best
