I think maybe this rendition of the beautiful, dignified Romanian Rhapsody #2 proves that you have to be Romanian to do it right. Absolutely beautiful.

Why don't you simply write that Romanians are Gypsies, you fucking moron? This great theme has nothing but absolutely nothing with whatever you heard in India. It has a strong touch of Romanian traditional music but this has ALMOST nothing to do with what you've implied in your statements. To understand the position of the Gypsies in Romania, well, they were slaves until middle of 1800 and some of them (the "Lautari" branch) used to entertained the rich people by singing popular Romanian folk songs copied from different parts of the country (because they were nomads).
One of my most favourite pieces of classical music. First heard it on classic fm. Thank you whoever put in the request!

Michael Portillo brought me here. So happy I've found this beautiful music.
A masterpiece !!! ❤️❤️👏👏👏
A fitting counterpart to his Rhapsody #1. The other side of the glass. So well done!
I've heard this main theme for years and always wondered who composed it. Now I know! Thanks. Beautiful music.
It's just incomparably beautiful.

Nearly brings me to tears every time I hear it. I love this and Romanian Rhapsody no 1 as well.
Why are the conductor and the orchestra playing not given any credits ? Without them- no bloody music !
I'm guessing Transylvania State Philharmonic directed by Vlad Agachi
Inceputul rapsodiei era folosit de Radio Vocea Americi ca generic . 👍👍
Nu, era folosită de Europa Liberă ca generic, dacă nu mă înșel, la emisiunea Actualitatea românească.

I love, Cluj !!!!
I love the opening statement if this work. Bittersweet for sure. (Just a little less tymp, please.)
ממלכת ישראל עם שבת ומצוות.
you don't have a culture if you say that, please leave alone hearing to the Gypsy music and listen to real music.

Germany got no runways anymore - because they got - sure, they didn't earn that courage and noblesse
The main theme seems to be very similar to gypsy music that I heard in India (where the gypsies originated). Very elegant!

This rhapsody was composed many years before you went to India. This theme is imitated by gypsies not only in India. They imitates anything.
Mal. Muy mal. Sólo una cámara fija sobre el director, sin siquiera zoom. La percusión suena demasiado fuerte. En fin: hay versiones mejores, sin duda
Aber nichts auf Facebook 😢
If it is about ' slavs' they are an earhan community ( never a group) as detailed about all landscapes
