Bri, you are one AWESOME chick! You absolutely AMAZE me....in so many ways. Some day you're going to look back on this time with such pride, wonder, and incredulity! All that you manage to accomplish in a day ...with FOUR kids! Wow!
Wonder where they got those sweet, willing spirits? Watching you and Art in these vlogs, I think we all know. Even though I've never met you, in my 72 years I've seen very few more devoted parents than you guys. Keep up the good work. Your reward will be worth it.
You have shown how helping those close to us perpetuates friendships and helping hands in times of need. You didn't have to offer your help, but you saw where you could be of use to someone else and you didn't hesitate to offer your help. This is the way our lives should be. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
That's so awesome Bri. Talking to older folks is so neat. I work as a nurse on an inpatient surgical unit and I love talking to my older patients about the old days. Congrats on getting your hay up, you all are so blessed to have such great neighbors. Can't wait to see how many bales of hay you got. Thanks for another great day on the homestead. See ya ~ Danielle :)
How great for you to hear the history of your homestead and your area. It would be wonderful to record this history either written, oral or video. Great to hear that folks are so able to keep up farm work in their 70s and 80s. Healthy lifestyle for sure.
Oh my goodness!!! I just woke up my kids laughing so hard with that duck!! WATER! Quack quack. WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂 Gotta go get the kiddos back to sleep! Haha
What a beautiful episode, start to finish, beginning with your sweet children on a blanket, and ending with the story of your good neighbors, and your relationship with them. This was moving.
This is my favorite of your videos and probably one of yours too. It is a gift to be able to get to know our elder neighbors and hear the stories hey have to tell. I love our elders which is why I worked with them for soo long in rehabs and nursing homes. What a wonderful day
What PRECIOUS neighbors you all have there!! Bless all their hearts! Bless you too for helping out with the haying on the other farms. I had tears in my eyes watching Mickey enjoy that pool and taking his bath! AWWWW.... You guys treat each and every animal on your farm like Royalty! They are so very fortunate! I SO enjoy seeing everyone there enjoying life. You guys are just SO special.... Thank you SO much for sharing with us. It makes my day to watch your videos!! Love to all....
You are such a incredible and giving person! No wonder your children are so sweet with role models like you and Art. Thank you for sharing another day on your homestead!
That's actually really cool that you went and helped them with the other pastures. I miss hearing the stories told by my grandparents and the other old timers. It's something that sticks with you throughout life...good times. Thanks for sharing
Isnt it wonderful hearing all the things you can learn from old people? I worked with a retirement home for years and loved sitting with them hearing their stories!! This was a great vlog!!
Having country neighbors is such a blessing, and I know you were a huge blessing to them too! LOVED seeing the ducks, esp. the one playing in the water over & over again! Looked like a little boy playing in the sprinkler!! :D Made my day!
Love this! You all are working hard! It's fantastic how folks help one another. Like to hear the history of your homestead. Love seeing your happy faces!
That was so typical of one farmer helping another put in the hay before it rains. That was just the perfect way to make friends Bri with your idea to go help them with two other hay fields after they finished yours. Thats how the old timers did it. I know farmers that were injured on the farm and couldn't milk their cows for six weeks because of a broken hip, and the neighboring farmer came over twice a day to milk when he got finished milking his own herd of forty cows and to turn around and milk his neighbors with the broken hip and did this twice a day for six weeks to milk an additional forty five cows! But that's the farming community for you. Always there to lend a helping hand in times of trouble and hardships.
Oh, yay! All the hay got in before the rain! I'm so glad to see that. We have found living in the country we have the best first. It's truly incredible, and I'm glad you're getting to experience that as well. Especially coming from the city like we did. SuchA difference.
Art AND Bri loved the intro with the children that was so beautiful the ducks love the summer pool Bri you are so kind to go help your neighbors thanks for sharing.
I totally love watching your videos. You are such a good example of the way people should be to each other. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Bri your the perfect example of this.
how wonderful that you helped them back!!! great neighbor helping!! glad you got your hay in before the rain....and so did the others with your help, AND, your kids witnessed the value of helping each other...so many good things!! =)
That was very special. Glad you appreciated that. Now tell these stories to your children. I should have written a book for all the wonderful stories I've heard.
The greatest gift you can give older folks, is your time. I’m a hospice nurse-my favorite visits are sitting quietly with the elderly and hearing their stories. One gentleman yrs Ago was a young man on d day, storming the beach at Normandy. What a life this gentleman lived. He was not fearful of death. He said “I’m at the jumping off point-I’m not afraid, I’m going to see Jesus.”
Briana, you are a Wonder Homesteading Woman! What a glorious day! Look what you DID! Putting up HAY!!! And that is why you and Art are moving forward on your homestead in such amazing ways... all this and a duck pond! Great to know your neighbors... developing those nice relationships will sweeten your lives :)
such a great video!! tickled to see the duck taking to its pool!! The story about your neighbors....learning from them and helping each other out. That's what more people need to experience. love.
What fine neighbors you have and I am sure they were grateful for your help with the other fields too. I'll bet it was interesting to here about your home place in the past...maybe you could do a chat to tell about it.
I watch the Homestead vlogs and I have to say you are all so awesome. Each of you displays such love for the land and not an ego amongst you. Keep going girl and do what you do. Greetings from an Irish hillside.
Bri, this video just warmed my heart. So proud of you and happy for you! There's nothing more fulfilling that working your butt off and accomplishing things on the farm ❤️ it may not be grand to some, but you are doing important work (and your children see it!)
Hopefully Dolly will get her weight up soon it's obvious how well you take care of all your animals. Mickey had the best time in his new summer pool, very fun to watch! So glad you got your hay bailed before the rainstorm! You really do have great neighbors. The elderly are a real treasure! Have a wonderful day with your sweet kids! :-). Gabby
I hope your hay gets baled them in the barn! Our hay has been mowed and baled they do those big round bales here, but it's been sitting in the pasture not in the barn yet. I'm hoping to get it in the barn before the rains start here, too. Our ducks love their pool! It's so fun to watch them splash around and play in it.
It looks hot there today! It looks like the pool is a hit. How cool your neighbors sound, I hope you can write down all those stories for future generations. We are getting some hot weather this weekend finally. Dolly is such a cutie and is already a part of the family. 🐄
I believe God was keeping that rain at bay for you! It was so sweet of you to go and help your neighbors.. your pretty amazing with 4 kids in tow! Blessings!
BRI...YOU ARE A TRUELY AWESOME PERSON !!!!!!!!!!!!I SECOND WHAT KELLY GREEN SAID.....YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD OF YOURSELF !!!!!!!YOUR PARENTS RAISED A GOOD PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the outfit your daughter is wearing with her boots out in the chicken/duck pen! Also, I so appreciate the fact that ya'll understand that things take a little bit of gradual progression to happen! Maybe not completely grain fed now, but there's time! You have a BEAUTIFUL cow!
I loved your video in this BRI!! I watch your video's everyday. I don't comment very often but you, Art & your kids are an inspiration to the younger people who watch your video's & to us Older ones as well. Blessing's to you & yours!!
I love it so much that your older neighbors helped to get your hay up, and then that YOU were able to help them with the other farms and built on friendships...so neat for you to hear their stories, and to involve your precious kiddos! Seriously wish that WE were neighbors :) (Minnesota is a bit far from you, lol)
You are the luckiest girl, getting to spend such a great day! I remember getting in the hay and it was so gratifying. Hearing the stories is icing on the cake. You may want to move the duck pool a little further away from the electric fence. It might not be as close as it looks but you can see better than us.
great video always listen when a oldtimer is willing to share his or her wisdom and story's I've always loved to talk with them about the way they did things and the pool is great I use the same thing for my ducks I don't feel so dumb now lol and after a week of hoeing and good weather I got all four of my fields hoed up good and just got all the 3 acres of yard done today if the weather holds up I'll be cutting hay Friday so glad you got yours in have you ever thought about taking a tarp with a string on it I use a 10x10 for it put the hay on the tarp and lace it up like a sack and carry it to the barn loose I don't like the strings in hay and I prefer loose hay lol keep up the hard work and have a goodnight and a great day tomorrow
Loved every bit of this video! Bri, don't forget sunscreen and a good hat!!! Take care of yourself!!! Make it a habit for everyone in your precious family.
I have been binge watching your 454 episode, "The Vlog", and I am hooked. Your family is amazing, your videography is professional quality. There is a buried side in me that would have loved to homestead. I still have many more videos to cover.
That sure was one busy day for you Super Woman on a Farmstead ! So , how many bales of hay did you get from your field? It's nice that you went over to help them with their hay after they came and done your field. Great neighbours make great friends !
Happy duck! Sharing labor and good neighbors are such a blessing! I imagine that they love seeing what you are doing on your farm. As I watch these beautifully edited videos, I worry about your health because I know editing time is taking away from your sleep time. I saw children sitting on a blanket watching the tractor, and wondered if Grace could learn to help edit? I believe she could do a first pass, identifying glitches, at the very least. I don't know how proficient your children are on computers, but I cannot help but think that it could be another tool in their belts. To my eyes, Dolly looks like she is putting on weight, and seems healthier than when she arrived, but I could be wrong. How is her parasite load?
Well this was FANTASTIC! Really, such good content. We'd love to hear some of the Stories of the Valley. Mickey had a proper bath. Ducks love to be clean and preen. It's so good for their moral.
You are my new favorite channel. I enjoy your videos a lot. I heard of you from Justin Rhodes channel. I'm looking forward to them getting back to their homestead and I'm sure they are too. I can't imagine how hard it is to live on that bus! Thanks for the vlogs!
I was hoping to see all the hay stacked in the barn but I'm sure that will happen in another video. Coming from someone who works in cattle nutrition I am glad to hear you all are feeding the cow some grain to she needs her condition score a bit better so she's not stressed during calving. I'm not trying to tell you guys how to raise your animal I would also advise finding an organic trace mineral for her to. I've had cows and worked with cattle for over 15 years and love my job nothing more enjoyable then being around cattle in my opinion.
Bri, you are one AWESOME chick! You absolutely AMAZE me....in so many ways. Some day you're going to look back on this time with such pride, wonder, and incredulity! All that you manage to accomplish in a day ...with FOUR kids! Wow!
My kids are amazing. I couldn't accomplish much of anything without their sweet, willing spirits everyday.
Wonder where they got those sweet, willing spirits? Watching you and Art in these vlogs, I think we all know. Even though I've never met you, in my 72 years I've seen very few more devoted parents than you guys. Keep up the good work. Your reward will be worth it.
I almost cried when you shared the story about your neighborhoods, their ages, and what they are doing for your community. Beautiful
Thank you BRI for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden on RUclips I really enjoy 🐔🐓🐥🐕🐈🐖🐐🐄🌱🎥👍👍👍

I agree...Another super day on the homestead! Such a sweet community you and Art are a part of.
Art AND Bri loved the intro with the children that was so beautiful the ducks love the summer pool Bri you are so kind to go help your neighbors thanks for sharing.
Mickey was cracking me up the way he would jump in the pool, splash around and bail out a few times haha
He may have got a electric shock due to the pool being close to the electric fence
I totally love watching your videos. You are such a good example of the way people should be to each other. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" Bri your the perfect example of this.

Cool video, the duck looks like it needs enough space to spread its wings. To paraphrase jaws, "you're gonna need a bigger pool"
I miss the stories my Gran used to tell ❤ lucky woman you are!
