What if it doesn’t change anything? If that’s the case, then there should be no harm in releasing it. There’s a chance that Barr was biased in his summary so releasing it can eliminate that possibility. Releasing it poses no risk and a small probability of helping our country.
The House voted almost unanimously (4 people voted present and nobody voted against) to release the report. That’s probably the closest we’ll get to a bipartisan vote.

My guess is that there were grounds for suspicion, but not enough proof to indict. The report should be made public so citizens know the situation.

No one was lying about Collusion.....any indictments stemmed from process crimes, the majority long before Trump's campaign......tax evasion, failing to register.......NOTHING TO DO WITH COLLUSION.......
It's "fishy" because everybody is freaking out due to not actually knowing what is in the report. "Inconclusive" means there is some evidence against Trump... "Does not exonerate" also means that there is evidence against Trump.
In every case there is evidence for and against, and the courts determine what the evidence means. Barr says he wouldn't bring charges, but we already know how he feels. His conclusion doesn't mean there isn't enough evidence to make a case against Trump.

They're playing Good Cop - Bad Cop with Trump as the good cop, publicly saying release the report, while McConnell is the bad cop, suppressing it's release. An Attorney General would not be so naive to lie to Congress. And the Muller Team would have made some statements of the summary was misleading or false by now. And this report will be likely be made (or partly made) public so lying is not even an option.
This is a monologue that you should watch twice, so that you can really see the brilliance that it is. This monologue should win an Emmy (is there a category for it? ) Or a Pulitzer .

How can anyone take Barr seriously when
A) he opened the four page summary with a 'lol I haven't even finished all this yet' (I mean the investigation went on for 22 months, it's probably thousands of pages long, there's no way anyone can read all that over a weekend).
and
B) He's only IN the job because he wrote a love letter to Trump about how a sitting president can't be indited. He's about as impartial as one of the Trump kids.
C) In the report, he mostly summarises, he doesn't quote. But when he DOES quote, he's not even using full sentences. He may as well have quoted 'he....did not....conspire with Russia'. (you can tell he's quoting from the middle of sentences because a quote will start with lowercase letters (eg. the president' rather than a capital which would indicate the beginning of a sentence)TECHNICALLY he can quote that way but by doing so, he can also completely change the meaning of the sentence.

As Stephen indicated with this monologue, Trump's approval ratings and people's opinions of him aren't suddenly going to do a 180 just because of the Mueller outcome, and I can't see how jokes like these will push anyone into Trump's pocket who wasn't dangerously close to falling in anyway.
And if we're talking about free airtime, while it arguably contributed in 2016 (and many late night hosts have expressed various degrees of recognition and regret of that, including Stephen IIRC), it's different now for the simple fact that now everyone knows what 4 years of Trump in the WH looks like - something which, back in 2016, just looked like the bad punchline of a stupid joke.
