They most probably will stay there or another center for breeding program, those destine for release will have to go to wild life school I guess, where they will be taught to find their own food while being monitored by keepers, only those fit would be release to the wild

I'd say they are endangered primarily due to the apex predator's uncontrolled breeding and subsequent habitat destruction. Animals that we would consider pandas have been around for a long, long time. That's not stupid.

This is Beijing Zoo where 8 panda cubs from Wolong have lived in the past several months.
This was so so cute. What a great job to have. Love watching them run...which they hardly ever do. LOL.
