According to comments on another vid about this mother bear, she only takes care of the one cub. She ignores the other. In the wild, mothers almost always will only keep one cub when twins are born. But I don;t know what;s up with the team at this zoo. I've not seen them make any attempt to help the abandoned cub. They just keep putting the cub in the mother, who resumes the same behavior of abandonment.
Pandas have evolved the best form of survival skill, CUTENESS. Even though it pains me to see a wild animal in captivity surrounded by gawking humans it is a necessary evil the tourism dollars pandas bring to China will ensure their survival.
Rau Hin is as wonderful as her mom Mei Mei, who can take care of both twins at the same time. I hope that she is not too exhaustic.
