I love the fact that no-one laughed at Lee Marvin, they were all scared to death.

Suitably weird moments from what is arguably the most creative, experimental years of the show.

I remember that pommel horse bit from a highlight show. Great stuff (as a gymnast one of the hardest events).

A quick question about the guy at 1:04. They made a short clip out of this, split-screen mirror image, with forward and backward sequences so that it looked like twins dancing. They put a polka music track behind it. I believe they called them the Talbot Brothers. I remember seeing it a few times. What were the episodes that included this? Thanks.

First shown on April 16, 1985, as part of a segment called “Annual Spring Parade.”
Then again on the May 6, 1985, broadcast, which had been taped on April 29.

Thanks again Don. Sorry to keep asking but do you know the name of the song at the end? It's really bugging me, I've heard it so many times!

Many thanks for the Dave gems you share. I get to re-live being 11 and discovering him in 82. Maybe you can help me. There was a mid to late 80's episode (possibly a remote) where a dude kind of ranked on Dave to which he replied "I don't see you winning any prizes pal". Do you happen to remember the episode? Thank you
