thank you so much! ive been drawing digitally and practising animation for only a couple of years, and ive been using flipaclip, and i wanted to start something professional, icant believe this is really free! this inspired me so much to start doing professional animation, again, tysm!
You are a godsend, Dong!!! I've been looking for videos like this for ages that show processes broken down abstractly with enough technical specificity. Thanks so much!!!
This is awesome! As an animator myself, this is alot of work! A minute of animation could be about 1000 frams (depending on how smooth the animation is). I'm not this good as this guy of course but wow, appreciate the work and explanation!
I'm always doing a step more : I written the words (syllables) of the file audio in a note level aside, while scrubbing. So, it's easy to work with the file audio. It's a visual indication who allow me quick adjustements...
super helpful, I don't really want to hand animate the western way of lip syncing since it is so stupidly time consuming when it is't that weird to just do it this way, will save a lot of time
Really love your work man..... I also loved the animation in decadence too..... You met the director for it ???. I heard he also directed Mob Psycho 100.... if yes.... is he cool??
keep this up. Would love to see a video about composition only in OT, and if you can show dynamic backgrounds. Also how you do animating against moving background and planning those animations out.
Perfect! I needed this tutorial. I'm working on an anime trailer and have both audios in Japanese and English. I thought I was screwed because I had my voices actors to thw voice acting before doing the animation.
fantastic information that I could not find anywhere else on RUclips! Thank you so much It would be very cool if you could also make one on animating the eyes in anime, I always find that to be a bit tricky as well, especially the transitionings to more extreme eye poses
please upload more animation crash course or where can I see more videos from animation crash course . these videos are awesome and helpful. please continue these
Will animes ever have English dubs replaced with characters lip syncing English mouth movements from the original lip syncing of Japanese mouth movements? that would be amazing!
Am I the only one who hates Anime style lipsync? BTW you can 100% automate it in After Effects by making a 3-frame sequence and assigning the time remap to follow the amplitude of the audio; then use Posterize Time to slow it down to 2's or 3's. "Read my lips! Mow-wup-mow-wup-mow-wup!"
Honestly, I actually kind of love it, a lot of the audience doesn't pay that much attention to the movement of the lips, unless it's a very important scene which is focused on a character's mouth; so isn't it kind of a waste of time to spend so much time on it when most people can't actually even perceive it half the time?
Great Work ! I would like to learn to animate my drawings I just started using Procreate drawing app. Do you have a starting program or beginners course ?
Hi I've been trying to figure out, is there a way to convert a vector to a raster so I can color it? This is so I can use the fill tool to color the drawings.
it's very probable that at some point (if not already possible) there's gonna be an AI software which detects syllables in sentences and then matches those to certain images (in this case lip flaps, which are -> closed, semi, open)
Quick question, how come when you show the work in Open Toons, everything looks pixelated, but the final shot you show looks like anti-aliasing is enabled?
Were you hearing me cry why while doing my lip sync homework?
I’ve been training myself for two years and this kind of tutorial is gold, I’d be willing to pay you for more !

Director Tachikawa-san is really cool! He personally mentored me when I first came to Japan!
keep this up. Would love to see a video about composition only in OT, and if you can show dynamic backgrounds. Also how you do animating against moving background and planning those animations out.

Wait open Toonz can reproduce audio when you pass frame by frame.. And its free? ... Time to delete clip studio paint xD
Clip studio is actually synced with opentoonz, so you can transfer files directly.
please make a figure drawing video.About how you do shorthand
Is anime lip sync easier? And is there a reason as to why the lip sync animation is more limited compared to western mouth animation?
I wish CSP animation has the same function as this program, I tried animating there and having trouble with the folder management 😅
Is there a tutorial on lip sync where the jaw moves or side profile.
thks a lot ^^
3:09 Quick Question
Dong notes that this would be an inbetween, wouldn't you put a triangle instead of a circle in that case?
I really love this and I want to ask are you available for work
Was Deca Dence animated in opentoonz
isn't it easier to record your mouth talking that dialogue?
urghhh my animation app doesnt any audio functionality
Can you make Retas tutorial?
👏👏
i'm trying to do spongebob's mouths
Great Work !
I would like to learn to animate my drawings I just started using Procreate drawing app. Do you have a starting program or beginners course ?
nono, THANK YOU
How do u use color palette
Please how can I import 3d into opentoonz
Hi I've been trying to figure out, is there a way to convert a vector to a raster so I can color it? This is so I can use the fill tool to color the drawings.
Woah, this is pretty cool. Though I feel like it's so quite time inefficient and leaves lots of room for automation.
does it works on animate CC?? if so give me how to do that?? thanks at moment i am doing FMP
Is it really a manual effort? can't it be automated?

Watch his "quick start guide / animating a head turn" tutorial
At the end he explains how to export the animation and activate the antialiasing
@@hxl2437 Thanks!
Do you do the lines that indicate colors and stuff in the same layer as the black lines or diff layer?
hey, quick question uhh do you fill the timesheet out before or after you've done the 1st key frames?
whats the anime?
Deca-Dence
This was very helpful
