    I kinda prefer the Anime form of lip sync animation. It's not as time consuming, but I do believe simply moving the mouth based on the emotions being displayed isn't solely good enough. Sometimes, you definitely need to draw the chin moving for whenever a character is screaming.

      True! We have cases when the chin, jaw, or even the whole body moves. It all depends on the movement and scene.

      @@cjkalandek996 and also move the mouth more realistically, I’d suggest creating simpler style anime but with more complex mouth movement

    in my experience from outsource animation contract from japanese studio, some use system AIUEO mouth too in 2D, and even more at 3D, but is depended on the studio and budget too

    That is why I prefer western lip syncing, it simply feels more immersive. However, I do see the time consumption would be drastically reduced with this 台詞 style.

    I don't understand how to use timesheets. Also what does this type of arrow mean 0:20 ??

    • @WorldAnimeNetworks
      @WorldAnimeNetworks  3 года назад +6

      Hello! Maybe we'll make a video on explaining timesheets. The arrow shows the direction of movement from the previous keyframe.

    Just one question: do you redraw various mouth phases along with character on each frame? Or draw mouth on separate layer, so you don't need to redraw it but just copy-paste?

      There are many ways to separate or join a character and the serifu, but usually they are separated from each other into different cells. :)

    I will say that this probably wouldn't work as well for animal characters as it would with human characters.

    But when it’s just the mouth moving up and down, the rest of the animation feels lifeless.
