  • In this video I teach you the best breathing techniques for an easier labour. How you breathe in labour is so important as it can help you to manage labour pain as your contractions get longer and stronger. In this video you will learn how to do Up Breathing and Down Breathing (also known as J Breathing). Up Breathing is for the 1st stage of labour when your cervix is dilating. Down Breathing or J Breathing is for the 2nd stage of labour when you are pushing and giving birth to your baby. Also included in this video is guidance about how your birth partner can help you with your breathing in labour. You will learn some visualisation techniques and mantra words that can be incorporated into your labour breathing exercises. These hypnobirthing breathing techniques are perfect for you if you are planning on having a natural birth but the Up Breathing can also be used if you have an epidural or need to have a C-section birth.
