This was actually the very first static x song I ever heard. I never heard of them before and I wasn’t really much into this type of music then but when I heard this I was looking for the volume control knob so I could blast it. If I’m needing a feel me good song this sucker does it!!!!!!

I used to wake up to this in 2002 as my CD player was my alarm. I have a fond love..hate...but love for 1st songs on CDs that became my alarm. I used to jump out of bed to turn this off cuz I didn't want to wake up for 8th grade. I also remember skipping community service after school to go with my brother to get this and stained break the cycle which came put on the same day...such good times being a kid

I can't help but almost start cryin' when i listen to "Static X", now. It reminds me of a concert I went to in "San Jose". Myself, a couple friends, and about 30 other people waited where the tour buses exit in the hopes of meeting them. Well, we got something better than that. Their tour bus stopped, "Wayne" got out, shook everyone's hand, gave us all this album, and then told us to follow the bus. Well, we all did that, and a few blocks down they stopped, the band got out, and started cooking hotdogs on a small grill LOL
They actually took the time to hang out with fans who were willing to stand outside, in the cold, just to get to get the opportunity to meet them. Not many bands do that stuff, unless it's to promote an album, or they're getting paid to do it. We lost a very humble musician, and someone that truly appreciated his fans

He did. I met them about 20 times at concerts here in Anaheim. I actually designed their Start a War - Album Cover. My project was scrapped after Rex got caught with an underage girl.
Wayne was an amazing person - very sarcastic and always loved hearing stories from fans of other times they had seen them. Been a fan since their first album came out...RIP WAYNE.
