  • When Cooper was four months old, he began to have seizures. It was terrifying; he was diagnosed with a rare condition called Dravet syndrome. This catastrophic form of epilepsy causes repeated seizures, meaning that Cooper can never be left alone and that he cannot live a “normal” life. Cooper wished to have a dog of his own who could be more than just a buddy. Through Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic, Cooper received a service dog named Finn who has given him a measure of independence. Finn watches over Cooper and supports him through his seizures, transforming the lives of Cooper and his parents. He is Cooper’s friend, his companion and his brother.
Special thanks to Green Buzz Agency for their collaboration in helping capture Cooper’s wish come true.
