Hello from South Central Idaho. We are a high desert so 15 mph winds are an everyday thing and gusts to 30+ are just a normal afternoon. Keep going brother and thank you for providing something wholesome for my 3 YOs to watch, they love Fígaro, the ducks and the babies (goats and chicks).
Yay, I said 14 eggs! We have wind here all the time. It is much appreciated in the heat of summer but when it is cold out it cuts right through you. Those doors turned out great! Blessings to all.
I have so many thunderstorms lately where I am, I honestly thought another one was rolling in, until I realized it was the wind mussing your mic. Love the greenhouse build so far!
I like it! The greenhouse doors are fabulous. Thanks for sharing. Yes, we've had a lot of wind too. Today is supposed to be our warmest day in Maryland ... 80 degrees ... but then supposed to cool down again. Stay safe, stay warm, and God Bless.
JudithB I was thinking about how cold your weather is and the greenhouse doors. I think a portable shelter/shed that could go in front of one door to create a cold gap so the cold wind cant blow through the greenhouse when you go in and out. We had something like that at our front door in Nevada. I priced compost and top soil in bulk for my new garden beds today and my feed store had turkey poults today. I did get lumber to build hoop houses on 2 4x8' beds but will cover them with row cover fabric for bugs, adding plastic over that in winter. Making progress!!!
I just love all of you! The whole experience of your channel suits me very well! Obviously many others as I see the number of subscribers you have. Country life, construction, cooking, chores, prayer..... and so much more! Please keep staying true to what got you this far. 🙏
Hope you get some good weather soon, Its plus 28* Here today, My garden is all up and and we have been enjoying Radish, lettuce and spinach, . Love your videos, Gives me a lot of ideas.Thanks.
The greenhouse is making steps toward its future usage! I am sure you are anxious to get your fingers in the soil. I have learned to add my canned mushroom juice to the broth. Just drain and reserve. Add the rest in broth. (I hope that makes sense-🙂) I hope the weather changes up for all of us soon. Although, if the earth is trying to heal itself it should just continue! Thank You for letting us visit your family everyday! ☮
Al, you and Gina did a great job putting up those doors. I know it could not have been easy with that wind like it was. My internet was acting up and I tried 4 times to watch the video on Friday but it just would not load up. Then here it is Saturday morning and it played really easy. I sure missed not seeing you all yesterday. Greenhouse is looking great.
where you fixed the base door roller add a square piece of carpet between the door and the back plate, it helps keep the door quiet on windy nights from rattling around
Doors are very nice...I like the idea of sliding doors...Your Winters are a lot worse than what I'm use to...hahaha! We had 80° yesterday. Dinner looked so good,I could almost smell it!!!!!! Yummy!!! Thank you for sharing your journey and God bless.
The doors are great looking. Good idea getting the larger sliding doors...so much easier to be able to drive in with a load of mulch or whatever. I like the name Red Rover that was picked by Jack D. Ripper, seems to fit her. Haven't had stroganoff for years...it looked delicious. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Oh goodness babies are adorable. And that greenhouse is going to one nice 👍 greenhouse. Looking pretty good that’s for sure. Impressed for sure!!! Awesome job, I still can’t wait to see it come together. Going to be one enormous place for growing fresh veggies. I love doing gardening😁
When you show how you are making your dinner please never apologize for using what you have in stock. At least you have a backup. My husband is picky with the can mushroom, so I now wait until the fresh are on sale, buy cases of them, lightly saute then freeze them.
Can't wait for the wind to calm down so you can finish the greenhouse!! Love how you got the big one, that's one of the things that's best about Lumnah Acres!! If you are going to do something, don't be afraid to go all out and do it right!! I really admire your approach!🍇🍉🍓🍆🌽🍅🍠🍋🍊🌻🍎🍏🍈🍑🍐🍒🍍 Praying for calm air! 😇
Your green house is going to be fantastic when it's finished, can't wait to see it & how you outfit it for growing. As always, I know you have some great idea's in store for your work bench, seedling tray benches & storage spaces. I was just thinking about your black & white wether. It's too bad he's not a ram anymore. He sure would have thrown some beautiful kid's for someone. I was wondering if you're going to hatch out some more chicks for your black rooster & chickens. Are you going to expand their flock a bit? I love watching your video's of your building thing's & the animal's & their baby's. Now that my grandkids are getting older I'm going to play your video's for them. I know my 2 grandsons will love your building projects, big machinery use on the farm & your animal's & the my 2 older granddaughters will love Olivia & how she helps you build things & especially her projects. Will Olivia be doing more of her special projects now that she's getting older? And of course they would like Gina's cooking segments, her being your partner in the builds & of course her special projects. Hopefully your weather gets warmer & wind dies down soon, so you can get the side's & top plastic on without any problems. As always, sending Prayers & Blessings your way.
The bottom door plate that has the kink in it and stops the doors being blown open at the bottom should over lap the other door more or the door can push past by opening a bit, even when latched.
The doors look very nice and function quite well. As always the goats are wonderful and the piglets are growing. All the chickens are doing well. Take Care , Be Safe. God Bless
After watching some other homesteading channels. I really appreciate your care for your animals. Was horrified about one homesteading channel .. Good job. Keep it up!
I loved the ...."I'll show myself out". Almost spit my coffee out started laughing so hard LOLOLOL The names were super GREAT by the way. Oh man still laughing thank you kindly Jack D Ripper.
Great work on the greenhouse despite the less than ideal conditions. The lovely Gina is gaining confidence every time she climbs the ladder. How about "Ebony" and "Ivory" for the bacon seeds?
The dinner looks so delicious! I like your new doors for your green house. I wouldn't have thought about the heat saving factor in opening just enough to walk in then close them quickly.
Have you ever seen the videos of people digging in a large vent pipe and forcing air through for underground thermal heat. Might be something to look into for the winter, six feet down it would be around a constant 50 or so . There's a guy who grows citrus year round using it.
When you were building the barn kit, I thought that my husband and I could do that. However, the high-tunnel is so complicated, I know we could never have put that together. Gina has helped a lot with you on this project. She's not just screwing things but climbing ladders and really helping out. It takes two to do it. Those doors are beautiful.
Check out Deep South Homestead, they are seniors & they built a higher-tunnel. I think they bought theirs from another supplier. You do not have to buy a high-tunnel. Also, check out Kevin & Sara they (living traditions)built a regular greenhouse they now have 2 G/H. These two families were building G/H at the same time.
Made the Ground Beef Stroganof tonight for supper. Mine was thinner but still was great tasting! Thanks for the great recipe! I even had broccoli too.!
I make my beef stroganoff in the instapot. It cooks really quickly and is so easy to make. I prefer to have cubes of beef in mine. It’s a big family favourite for us. I just make steamed vegetables with mine to keep the carbs down.
Al and Gina, your getting there with the greenhouse! how wonderful and soon you will be able to us it. Good job Al and Gina. Oh yummy looking dinners Gina.
Wow, those doors are awesome. Good job Gina getting up on that ladder. When you have 10 or so more egg layers and more eggs are you going to sell them? I love Stroganoff, it's easy to switch it up with steak. I add sour cream at the end and a little kitchen bouquet to darken the gravy. It's good on toast or biscuits too. Omg, I gotta stop.
Great job getting the doors up guys! Definitely curious about what you'll be using as a threshold for underneath the doors. Also cant wait to see the temperature difference next fall/winter between the outside air and inside your greenhouse. Well done!!!
My 6 yr old grandson loves the animals, and knows the names. Wife now has an instantly pot...Did corn on the cob already...wow it was great. You may have to add "WINDY" to the farms name..right??
Dinner looked lovely, and about as close to perfect with the Worcestershire pronunciation there, Gina. Well done. I hope you get some suitable weather to finish the plastic on the greenhouse soon. Buttercup and Zeke did good. I especially love the black female kid.
Good morning my name Ismail I’m from Detroit Michigan I been watching you bout lil over 1 year and love what you doing keep up the good work my friend I also watch your friend mr Rhodes
Good mornin New Yolk City .... Do you still have your wild game cams out? Yep ... hope you get a calm wind. Doesn't take much of a breeze to give you fits with that much plastic. ~8^) The Beef Stroganoff looked delish, especially with the homemade noodles. Take care AL. Gina & Olivia ... have a nice weekend.
Good mauhnin Lumnah Acres! Oops, I forgot to guess the egg count today. Greenhouse doors look great. Nice to see Tanner out and about again! Dinner looks delicious Gina, stroganoff is a family favorite in my house! Yum! Take care everyone!
G/day thing are coming on fine couple more Ducks ( female ) then you will have duck eggs, Here I go I noted that Gina has to buy Beef how about buying a calf fatten it up just (like pigs,) then have your own grown Beef you cannot go wrong. I've been waiting to hear him say that will be the next animal on the farm. Do you or have you eaten goat meat, chevron? It's ok. It has a gamey taste. I treat it like deer meat.

See ya'll tomorrow!

Love the greenhouse doors. Oh my the chickens crack me up, they are going to be waiting by your door soon.
I really enjoy watching the chicken come for you to get fed and just seeing them around the farm!!!

Love the doors. We are putting in a garden gate this weekend. Hope everyone has a blessed one.
I would love to see a picture of your garden gate. Sincerely, Jane
A wind turbine would pay for itself with all that wind you have
The babies are so cute jumping around.
yes there adorable :)
I love how your green house is coming along. The beef stroganoff looks delicious!

I loved all the different color eggs today! I saw one in there that looked olive and I could’ve sworn one of them looked almost purpleish!

id be tempted to put an airlock on the green house either outside or inside that way you can control your winter temps better
The doors look very nice and function quite well. As always the goats are wonderful and the piglets are growing. All the chickens are doing well. Take Care , Be Safe. God Bless

...I'll show myself out.
I loved the ...."I'll show myself out". Almost spit my coffee out started laughing so hard LOLOLOL The names were super GREAT by the way. Oh man still laughing thank you kindly Jack D Ripper.
I thought Rogue Red was a good name. You have thought of some good ones.
Rosie the Rebel or Rebel Rosie
I love "Dora the Eggsplorer"! Please take a bow!
I think I would buy a complete set of those guide wheels and hanging wheels and put in a safe place for 20 years.
Those new sliding doors are Beautiful! I wish we could visit with the new baby goats a little more😀 Great video, I love every video 💕
I made your beef stroganoff tonight for dinner, you were right my husband and I really liked it. Thanks for sharing, love your channel!

Is that the gentleman from Utha? He's had a versions. It doesn't get that cold here in east TX.
He was in Nebraska, certainly not the same as New Hampshire but it would probably make a bit of a difference. The video was one of Kirsten Dirksen's.
Slinging door was a great idea.
Just amazed at all the pretty colored eggs.
Hopefully you'll get some calm days! Have a great weekend everyone.
What a Green House!!! Can't wait to see all of the coming vids.

Ha! your 1000 subscriber came up in the list. Watched it and loved it, you guys came a very long road since 4 years ago. be proud.
Maybe you can put an arctic entrance for the winter it might help with the cold

Dayne Cox be patient. Growth doesn’t happen in a day. Acknowledge what he HAS accomplished so far 😊
funny how dishes can have the same name but be so diffrent. Here in the Netherlands beef stroganoff is stewed beef pieces with a lot of bellpepers and no sour cream.

Nice seeing Tanner outside.
That's cool! Looks like the perfect choice of doors for you. I like it! 😄
We had 70 mile an hr winds and today storms with up to 80+ winds tonight with high risk of tornadoes here in Oklahoma.
Wow. I'll stop complaining about the wind in Conn. Perspective.
Tornado sirens going off last night in Kansas. (it didn't touch down, thank goodness. Flash floods.) More severe weather watches today.
Missed seeing your daughter today. Is she OK? Hope all in your household are safe and well.
Looking great. Every thing is coming along nicely. I still see a tiny home on wheels Every time you go by New Yolk City. 😆

Those doors look nice!! 👍😁
Always good to hear the Good Morning from you Al, but it will have to wait about 8 hours as I’m still up from yesterday, here in Oregon. Guess I’m not a farmer.
I'm loving all the improvements ya'll make. Lumnah Acres is the bright spot in my day (for 5 days a week LOL!) I did want to add a suggestion... I am not affiliated with Harvest Right at All. However, I own 2 of their medium standard Freeze dryers and I have one large new style freeze dryer on order. These machines are awesome and have really come in handy with my bone broth and other food items. The freeze dried foods keep most of their nutrition and taste for much longer than canning. I still can jams and such but WOW a freeze drier has upped my game. With the addition of the high tunnel it seems like a must for your farm. Just a suggestion. God Bless and have a great day! See ya'll tomorrow!
Looking awesome!!!
