I don't comment much usually But I do have to say I love how Olivia's face just shines when making things in the kitchen. That is just awesome. Beautiful child.
I've never lived in a cold climate. Having watched your vlogs for about a year now, I honestly don't know how you do it. I have lived in places that have cold winters with intermittent snow. You could not pay me enough money to live in that climate you guys do. You are truly committed congratulations to you both.....
Congrats on all the new subscribers! You are still my #1 homesteading channel. Boy those strawberry bars looked great! Olivia is a great baker! Blessings to all.
Oh that soil thingy that makes the squares with a hole to put the seeds in the middle is SO COOL!!! I realize prob everyone knows or has seen one of those b4, but from someone who cant keep a houseplant alive, that thing was awesome! What a time saver!
Thanks for showing the baby goats, buttercup is doing a great job as a mom, love to watch them jump, nora and the baby boats are growing up so fast, y'all are doing a great job, God bless y'all on the homestead farm
When you have finished planting the press pots, sprinkle some sand (play box sand) lightly over it (like powdering). This prevents insects from getting on and keeps the press pots moist and mold is not formed. To prevent diseases from getting into the pots. Tip is from Tina. Greetings from Saxony, Germany from Tina and Patrick
It is so amazing you and your wife have the patients of a saint. It is so nice seeing woman teach their daughters how to cook, and letting go of the reins and letting them do their own thing. A few times your wife would almost jump trying to help her but she let her do it. You have a wonderful family. I watch just to see how you all interact.
You may want to check for holes around the bottom of your chicken tractor. We had that happen to us a few years ago. We had a chicken under our tractor and my husband David found a small hole were something crawled through grabbed a chicken , but could not pull the chicken out. Many Blessings to you and yours.
Goooooood Evening Al , Gina & Olivia , Your chickens are hopping over the fence because for them , the grass actually is greener on the other side. I think that they are telling you that it is time to move and re-fence New Yolk City. Those new kids certainly have a lot of energy.
So great to see the babies on the farm. Chicks and baby kids. Those little goats are like “rubber bands”, so very cute. Still think of Crazy White Chicken, she is missed.
Seeing this young lady actually doing chores without whining brings me some hope for the future... So many kids just bury their faces in their phones or iPads these days with 0 desire to go outside let alone do chores... You and your family work so hard and on top of it, you're recording it for all of us to see. I am disabled and I miss doing this kind of thing. I wish the very best for you folks. And thanks, for letting some of us live vicariously through you.
The trays you are using are just like mine. They will hold 5 blocks across. I put 4 rows of 4 and then I turn 1 long ways and that gives me 5 across. I can start more plants per tray that way. I learned all my soul block techniques from you. I have had so much fun this year with gardening. Thank you.
Glad to see your mouth is healing up well. It sure would be nice is winter realized it is not supposed to be here right now. Olivia is becoming quite a little cook. The strawberry bars looked sooooo yummy. Thanks for sharing your day work with us.
I love to see Olivia making the granola bars. She is so cute. At the end of the video she is so proud of herself. God bless you Olivia and Gina you are a good mom.
Good morning Luminah family. Everything is coming together beautifully. So proud to see how much Olivia has grown. She is doing a wonderful job all around. Please give her a hug from me. Looking forward to seeing how well the green house does. Have a blessed day.
Al and Gina, love watching how the little goats grow up so quick! Go easy in the plant starts...you need to stagger them so you don’t have them all reaching maturity all at the same time! Can’t believe the ice. Just heading into autumn (fall) in Australia. A greenhouse is looking like a very good idea! Greetings from Australia! 💐💐
Gosh Nora has grown so much. So cute. The new babies are so cute with their hopping around. I love all the garden veggies you are planting. Way to go. OH the strawberry bars looked sooooo good.. Great jobs girls !! :-)
Baby goats are so spastic... they make the Energizer Bunny look s l o w. Your covered garden beds are so beautiful. That represents a lot of hard work.. God bless you guys!
The goats are so funny and full of life. Love seeing them out and carrying on. Those vegies are sounding so good, can't wait to see you guys harvesting them. Wind here blows stuff off my walls coming in the doors and windows. It drives me nuts when I want to spray paint something. Or spray weeds with my vinegar concoction. Never seems to lay. Olivia is quite the helper in the kitchen! Those strawberry bars look so yummy!
Good mauhnin Lumnah Acres! Love watching the new babies out for the first time. Such delight! Great job with the seeds. Love the seed pod gadget! Makes everything so easy . Not gonna make an egg guess today, I was reading comments and got the count so I will not cheat.😄 will put my count down first before reading any comments next time! Great job Olivia, yummy! Take care Lumnahs! Oh yes is Pluto alright? Haven’t seen her in a bit. Good to see Tanner though! 👋
Richard Perkins on utube just did a paper pot transplanter side by side comparison review. It's a game changing tool for your garden expansion plans. The farm upgrades are beautiful. Great job family.
Good Morning Al-steader! I haven't commented for a long time. Still watch every day but just later in the day now. I am looking forward to seeing what you can grow in the greenhouse in the winter. Please have Olivia show us her chickens and tell us what kind of chickens they are now that they don't all look the same anymore.
Al, what is going on with your weather? I was without internet for a week and when I got re-connected I started watching your back episodes and was surprised by the amount of snow you had in mid-May. Sure it melts in a day (usually), but still. I'm originally from Chicago and can understand a late snow, but I don't remember any in May. I retired to the Philippines where it is always warm (87-90 today), but it is still good to see snow again, as long as I don't have to shovel it. It is GREAT to see what you are doing on your homestead and I enjoy watching what you are doing and planning for the future. Good Job, Keep it Up.
Strawberry bars look delicious but I didn't see a link for the recipe. Olivia is becoming a very good cook! I tried starting seeds for the first time in years, some success, some fails but fun and satisfying overall. Love the antics of the baby goats, and love goats in general! Wonderful day on the farm!! 😀👍👍👍💕
Olivia is getting so big! Al could you use your nets to divide the goat pasture in half to give the grass a couple weeks to grow without being grazed? Can't wait to see 5he greenhouse being planted!
I'm certain that y'all will be happy to have seedlings to plant once the greenhouse is ready. I love to see the baby goats when they come outside for the first time. After that they come out like ole pros. Olivia, you are becoming a good desert maker. Before you know it, you will b doing suppers too. God. Bless
Good morning Lumnahs... those chickens are pretty bossy, but they come back to be fed. Nice to see you planting your seeds as you wait for the winds to die down. Hope everyone stay safe and have a blessed weekend 🤙
Good afternoon Lumnah Acres ... Looks like a goaty kind of day ~8^) Hope you are getting this warmer weather we are getting here in central Pa. ( 73F @ 3pm ) Have a nice rest of the weekend AL, Gina & Olivia.
A tip to help with the wind noise on your microphone. Cut the bottom out of a plastic bottle, that is the right size, cut a slit in it, and put it around the back of the microphone, to keep the wind from going behind the wind guard. The wind usually blows into the back side of the wind guard. The bottle blocks it.
Olivia! You made a very yummy looking dessert!! Your going to be a great cook like your mom someday 😁 I could watch those baby goats jump and play all day long .....so cute!
Suggestion for the rutabagas / swedes: Try cubing them and steaming or boiling with sliced carrots then when done mash them and add a shake of pepper to your taste. Makes a great nutrient packed veggie dish to go with any meal. It's one of the first veggie dishes I tried when I moved to the UK from Iowa and it's served every week with roast dinner and occasionally with any other meal I choose. I absolutely love it !
My mom went on an oat bar craze once and tried everything we had including crushed pineapple which turned out to be delicious but even better when she mixed it with sweet cherries.
That right there is what is known as a 'block party', in the great north woods!!! Looks great Al, Gina and Olivia! Spring is coming....I heard it got delayed a wee bit at the corona screening checkpoint at the airport! ;>)
Another Project idea, as the weather warms, rent a ditch witch and trench for water lines to your outbuildings, outdoor kitchen, barn , greenhouse, any future locations, so as to have fixed faucets in place.
If I could get your "Good Mornin'!" on a sound bite for my alarm clock I'd never hit the snooze button. There's something so optimistic and inviting in your voice that really promises it WILL be a good morning and makes me want to go see why! You even have a way of breaking bad news in such a manner that goes down easy. Thoroughly enjoying the good energy of your channel.
Watching your video's for a while now an appreciate the effort you are putting in to it, the editing must take a lot of time too, keep well and healthy, love from the netherlands
those jumping kids are so fun to watch. so are you going to can this fall as the crops start coming in? I agree canned beets are soooo good (in my tummy too) Gina. this channel is so much fun
Given that ice in the trays, it's a perfect example of why the greenhouse is such a good idea for you guys. Lovely to see the goats all interacting. I did wonder if that chicken would survive, she didn't look too good after you rescued her from under the chicken tractor. I'm guessing the chickens are laying somewhere else as well. With luck, the weather will let you start moving NYC soon.
Olivia is going to be an amazing baker. She's already ahead of a lot of girls her age. She can take care of animals. I have to believe she does well in school and is social. Well rounded young person. Plus she eats good, healthy food. And she doesn't even realize how fortunate she is. Let us pray for all the children of the world. Good job Mom & Dad !!!!!
The little goats are my favorite part of your channel. Well, all the babies are so cute. Let's hope spring comes soon.💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎💛💙🍎
Those baby goats are cuteness personified. Just adorable. I hope you keep the little girl but obviously you have to watch your breed lines. 🙂 Where was Pluto today? Just lazing in the sun somewhere? Glad to see Tanner is back to his usual self. Love your videos and can’t wait for green house to be ready. You must be just watching and waiting for that perfect day to do the plastic 🙂
Great video but I am sorry your weather is not cooperating with you. I'm glad you have the low tunnels to at least get the seeds started. Loved seeing the baby goats outside for the first time. They did seem like they liked the long play yard to race about and hippity hop around. How did the strawberry bars turn out Olivia? They looked delicious. Y'all have a Blessed weekend, see you Monday.
Sweet family projects today. Not as exciting as watching Al and Gina on top of the ladders in the wind waving plastic, but this one will do.... I am going to try the strawberry bars. Yum!
Awesome video as always. Was a while sins I looked in on you guys now. Have been really busy. Have a great weekend Al and I'll see you in the next one, Andreas 🇸🇪
Al, Gina, I had stayed up to watch your video (I'm in Portland, Oregon so it's at 3am) and just before it was ready to start my middle daughter, Emma, came in with her phone saying there was a problem with my youngest child, Tina, and the paramedics had been called. Three minutes later we were told she had passed. My beautiful, caring, talented, generous, wonderful, amazing, angelic, child was gone, they had "done all they could to revive her". We droveto her house and waited a long time for the coroner to arrive. She pronounced her dead, conducted interviews and then they rolled her out, in a bodybag with just her face showing. After our goodbyes we came home. The sun was up and we had a whole day of planning for after the autopsy. I'm exhausted but I came back to watch the video for a sense of normalcy in my very not normal life. And more importantly to ask for your prayers at this time since I've seen that prayer is something you honor .Have you named the triplets yet? I love you all. The people I'm asking you to pray for Are Rocky, MaryClaire, David Elly, Thomas, Emma, Eva, and Tina (the one who passed 20yrs. old)
Maryclaire, I read your story with a great deal of sadness. As a mother of five grown children, two of them daughters, I felt your grief. My two-year-old granddaughter passed away last Fall. I will pray for you and the others you’ve mentioned. I know death brings profound questions into our lives about God; He is too big for our little minds to comprehend. I know for sure, though, that If you search for Him, you’ll find Him.
Garden beds look awesome! Can never grow too much food either. And can always can a ton of your veggies too :) There's always such goodies being baked and cooked in your kitchen :D
Watching the 3 baby goats playing really shows what jumping with joy looks like!
You almost doubled your goat herd with the babys. Love seeing Gina and Olivia working together in the kitchen. Olivia has a good mom and teacher.
Watching baby goats frolic around, always makes me smile! Thank you.
I just love watching the baby goats jump around. My family even gathers just for baby goat time! Thank you!!!
I don't comment much usually But I do have to say I love how Olivia's face just shines when making things in the kitchen. That is just awesome. Beautiful child.

I love to see you all headed to the barn for morning chores. Olivia looks so cute in her pink overalls and boots. Helps me get up and start my day.

Those three are so energetic and spunky 😍🥰 I cannot get enough baby goats ❤️love the Lumnah farm and family 🙏🏻
I love the way you guys are so organized. I hope the wind stops so you can finish putting up the plastic on the green house!
Goooooood Evening Al , Gina & Olivia ,
Your chickens are hopping over the fence because for them , the grass actually is greener on the other side.
I think that they are telling you that it is time to move and re-fence New Yolk City. Those new kids certainly have a lot of energy.
Greetings from Ohio. Al, you and your family are so kind to the animals. I love how you talk to them every day. All three of you are special people.
So great to see the babies on the farm. Chicks and baby kids. Those little goats are like “rubber bands”, so very cute. Still think of Crazy White Chicken, she is missed.
Good morning! Things are looking so good on your Homestead! Love watching your baby jumping goats!
Buttercup’s babies have springs in their legs! I’ve never seen babies that hop so much. It is adorable. 🥰
I love that you are teaching Olivia to cook. So many kids are never taught this basic life skill. She is becoming a master chef already!
I just love watching the baby goats! they're so cute running & hopping around!
Love your blog. It is very refreshing to watch you and your family working together. I wish all of you peace, good health and God's Grace.

18 eggs 🥚, I love watching all of the baby cuteness. Love watching your channel been watching for at least 3 year’s. I remember when you built NYC.
The oatmeal strawberry bars looked yummy! Thank you for sharing all you do! I really enjoy the kids! They are precious and hilarious!
The goats are so funny and full of life. Love seeing them out and carrying on. Those vegies are sounding so good, can't wait to see you guys harvesting them. Those are the cutest babies ever. All 4 are amazing babies. I love baby goats.

I LOVE PICKLED BEETS TOO!!! And pickled okra, cauliflower, carrots, and celery too.

What a good Job Olivia and boy do I love seeing those baby goats.
I could watch the baby goats all day with their bouncy hops, and Nora already posting up to Hope🐐. GOD BLESS YOU ALL😇 🐓🐔🐖👌 Best wishes from NYC🗽😷

What a beautiful and caring little girl Olivia is! Those baby goats love her! =) Go Mom and Dad =)
Olivia is becoming quite the cook, it's so nice to see the interest she has in everything that she does .
Videos with baby goats are the best, love it. Keep them coming. Also thank you for the positive energy.
I love baby goats. I would watch them all day. If I'm depressed I Just watch the video baby goats in pajamas! Turns my day around
Olivia! You made a very yummy looking dessert!! Your going to be a great cook like your mom someday 😁 I could watch those baby goats jump and play all day long .....so cute!
Those babies are adorable. Love watching them dance and jump around.
Al's favourite saying which he says every video . " I can't wait ". Good things happen to those that wait . Life is too short to rush things along .
Those strawberry bars look yummy. You may want to use a small hand sifter to sprinkle the cornstarch.
Love watching the Baby goats! Getting excited about the greenhouse! Hope you get a couple calm warm days soon!
love how the babies run and jump so cute hope the mature ones do not hurt them
That right there is what is known as a 'block party', in the great north woods!!!
Your herd is growing by "Leaps and Bounds" , so funny to see the babies jump around.
When you have the high tunnel ready for planting you can also include hydropononic fodder for your animals.
Olivia is such a sweet little girl, and she is such a big help on the homestead. Please ask her if she will save me one of those strawberry bars.
awesome job guys. kids are growing up fast yall have a Blessed day my friends God bless.
those jumping kids are so fun to watch. so are you going to can this fall as the crops start coming in? I agree canned beets are soooo good (in my tummy too) Gina. this channel is so much fun
Given that ice in the trays, it's a perfect example of why the greenhouse is such a good idea for you guys.
Lovely to see the goats all interacting.
I did wonder if that chicken would survive, she didn't look too good after you rescued her from under the chicken tractor.
I'm guessing the chickens are laying somewhere else as well. With luck, the weather will let you start moving NYC soon.
IT'S IN THE MID 90'S HERE IN LAS VEGAS. I MOVED OUT OF MICHIGAN, AND NEVER LOOKED BACK.
I use an old used cement mixer to mix stuff like that.It works awesome.

The Strawberry Bar Cookies turned out beautiful! We use to make a date bar cookie similar to yours.
Crazy you guys freezing here on west coast up in 70-90 ... starting to sweat 😓 ... but you guys keep pushing .
Love your videos. You have inspired me to garden. Those strawberry 🍓 bars look yummy!
Olivia , You should have use a rubber spatula to get all of that cream out of that measuring cup !!!
I just learned that cutie pie Hope was the rejected baby goat from Weed'em and Reep. Hopey is so cute!!!
jamieserrano14 Yes, she is 😃. She was hilarious when she was a baby, very playful. She didn’t seem bothered at all. 😊
Tilly has some of the sweetest/cutest babies.
My sister says that roasted sets are delicious. No one here likes beets except me.
Weed em has been Hopeless ever since...

You guys are amazing I am very much enjoy watching your Homestead
