Resting the adult and connecting with the inner child. Wow that spoke to me as a trainee counsellor. I’m also so bad at calling in sick, partly because of my really small team, but partly because I only work one day a week and partly because I don’t get paid any time I’m off work and can’t afford to live at the moment.

Feel better soon :') there's alot of covid which doesn't always show up on LFTs and other stuff about atm, always better to rest and not risk giving something to patients than push through but the guilt is real for sure!

I love watching your videos, I relate to you so much! I also want to study medicine. I’m not sure if I have undiagnosed ADHD or it’s just my diagnosed mental illnesses but my bank balance has also taking an absolute beating recently 🤣 gotta get that dopamine!! so I was laughing at that part!! Faye, the answer is so obvious - yes, the fact that you are dealing with people who are already sick means YOU SHOULD NOT BE AROUND THEM SPREADING YOUR GERMY SELF AROUND. You are so funny about your idiosyncrasies. Oh, and I loved Dylan's comment that the match smelled better than the candle. Which, by the way, brings up another point - did you know that scented candles are carcinogenic???? Do your own research - for what it's worth.
hi Faye thank you for another great video! i am 5th year medical student in Turkey and i wanna work in the NHS in the future, i am curious about your (FY1/FY2) responsibilties in the hospital. Did you took videos about that topic, i know you always talk about it but i am more curious about the clinical skills side that you do when you are working. If you didnt took about this topic can you take it please :) i know you are very busy but it will be so helpfull for me and other people like me. Thanks in advance Faye.

@@iluvbluify What do you do invasively to patients or do you write prescriptions etc ? Do you make decisions for a patient on your own?
You do yeah, depends on your job, as Faye said mostly on your ward job you’ll be doing ward rounds so the seniors will give you things to do. On your on calls (in f1 but more so in f2) you definitely have more responsibility and will be seeing patients on your own , I’ve found it very well supported in general though at least in my hospital and there’s always someone to ask . Of course we write prescriptions, most places it’s e prescribing but some it’s still on paper charts , and skills wise basically you’ll just get good at all the stuff you’re taught in med school plus scope for learning lots of more skills as you progress! Good luck!!!
