Hydrofoil surfing on a Tidal Bore

- Foil surfing a tidal bore had always been a dream of mine so when Theo asked me if I wanted to join him on a trip to France to try it out, I couldn’t resist. What we found was a perfect swell that winds its way down the river and feels like it goes forever. Hands down one of the funnest but also most stressful waves I’ve ever foiled. Huge thanks to everyone that made this trip epic!

The color of water reminds me places full of crocs :) I hope its not the case here :)
That is so sick. I am still new to foiling so my rides last only a few seconds... but that right there is the dream
Absolutely. Such an ideal foil wave!
Pretty sick dude. You could outpace everyone. Bet those legs were burnin.
Legs were absolutely cooked by the end of it 😂 It's a little tricky to start, but once you're up its the perfect way to make the most of the flatter section of the wave where no one can ride it!
Insane!!
Was that the new NP Glide foil you were riding? And if so which size and which mast length?
Sorry for the late reply. This was a proto for the NP glide medium. Such a good allround wing. The mast length in this one is roughly 70cm
Why was that stressful?
Because the wave only comes every 12 hours and if you fall, you most likely won’t be able to catch it again. I actually missed the wave the first morning and just had to paddle in and wait until the afternoon
I want to foil a tidal bore so badly!!!
Bonjour, What foil? Tacoma?
This was the prototype for the current Neilrpyde medium wing. Perfect all round wing
Amazing! I want to come on the next trip! I’ll help film!
Where is this?

I finally get it....This is when foiling makes the most sense
this wave is in St Pardon
Such flow. Great video.
