There was no DNA, no murder weapon, no other physical evidence linking them to the crime. The only thing the D.A. used at trial was the testimony of the ex girlfriend of one of my uncle's friends who (1) told 5 different stories to investigators when they met with her, (2) only came forward after a reward was offered for information, and (3) recanted her perjured testimony 10 years later. Now since you say that the criminal justice system helped people like my uncle, then why wasn't justice done and she not go to jail for her crimes?

There was no DNA, no murder weapon, no other physical evidence linking them to the crime. The only thing the D.A. used at trial was the testimony of the ex girlfriend of one of my uncle's friends who (1) told 5 different stories to investigators when they met with her, (2) only came forward after a reward was offered for information, and (3) recanted her perjured testimony 10 years later. Now since you say that the criminal justice system helped people like my uncle, then why wasn't justice done and she not go to jail for her crimes?
