A case of the Farmer and the Snake, unfortunately. On another note, hoping that future Resident Evil games have this kind of quality in writing. Pretty hard to write villains that are both tragic and sympathetic.
The Bear Boss Yea just like you pay the price to play fucking 15 minutes of this shit. This should all be include with the main game. Shit is fucking ridiculous.
They were a pretty dysfunctional family beforehand: Jack was a violent drunk. Marguerite, I don't know too much about, but she absolutely couldn't accept criticism about her cooking. Lucas was mentally sick, murdering another kid, BEFORE this all happened (violent father probably didn't help). I don't know about Zoe, someone else probably knows more, I just gave a basic rundown.
I don't know why, but I've always loved Jack. He just has that sweet cheerful fatherly southern thing about him. I felt so bad for him when in the main game we talk to that vision of him, and he explains the situation, so sad.
It'd be kind of fucked up for Ethan to abandon his wife that'd been missing for 3 years and was the reason he even went to the house for some girl who'd helped him out to get the serum and he had just met that day.
not cured just not able to be controlled by evie he still has the regenerative capabilities because he grows back a hand and rips his nails off like it won't matter at all. he said he did not want to go back to how things were meaning he is still infected.
He gets his arm chopped off and he grows it back, he is infected, the only difference is that he for some reason could keep Evie's mind control at bay, but the dude had mental issues way before everything happened, you can read from an email in the game or some text about how he killed a kid when he was younger.
They were a good family, sure they had some problems *cough* lucas *cough* but lucas had his own problems, fun fact (this is maybe a spoiler idk) Lucas is not affected by evie, just like zoe. He went crazy and his sense of self preservation caused him to try to blend in to his surroundings. Kind of like how abimals use camoflauge
Lucas just cure himself from the infection. And about the arm, if you get attack by Jack in the game when you're trying to get to the trap door. Instead of killing you, he would chop your leg off and let you beg for your life, than he gave you the medical vial where you just reattach your leg when you pour on it. Who knows. Lucus might as well use Goop Juice to fix his arm
Ethan and Lucas are both still infected with the mold, but Lucas was given medication to where he wasn't controlled by the girl anymore, Ethan was infected sometime after entering the house and before having his hand chopped off by Mia, but due to careful planning by Evie he wasn't turned into molded, but rather like the Bakers, and if you watch the Daughters DLC you'll see that the aggressive and psychotic tendencies tend to manifest short term while the subjects are still newly infected (Ethan wasn't infected or in the house for all that long), so Evie didn't have as much time to sink her claws into him.
Apex GT4 My mistake. It's been quite a while since I played RE2 and RE3. Come to think of it, I never finished RE3. 0n a side note, I'm super excited for the RE2 remake! Just two more days to go before the early release!
I just realized that ethan is or was infected because the ending show the the bakers still see the world as if they were normal so when ethan spoke to the normal bakers he was inside the fake world
I think people praise too much that how "good people" Bakers were. By reading logs and investigating the world you can tell that Lucas was pretty much a mess already, killing that kid by locking him up to the attic for example. And in this DLC it is revealed that Jack had an alcohol problem and was kind a violent.
Paik992 I think Lucas was the only real psychopathic one, Jack only got drunk once which doesn't mean he had an alchohol problem and it wasn't that unusual for parents to hit their children.
Dont you think that if the kid is psyhopath there would be something off in the enviroment he has grown in? I find these revelations intresting more than a bad thing. But i would not call this family purely "good people"
Everyone has their flaws. Plenty of kindhearted people have went through alcohol addiction for various reasons (one example being a survivor of a war, since drinking is a coping mechanism for survivor's guilt).
I feel this is a missed opportunity. While it's good the first couple of times, there's not much to Daughters. This could have been more of what Zoe went through while being the only, seemingly normal Baker family member. You get hints in the main game that she was at least threatened, and if you get the bad ending in this, beaten. But what else happened to her in those three years? What kind of interaction and relationship did she have with Mia? Would we have seen more glimpses of humanity from Jack and Marguerite? I would have enjoyed this being much more fleshed out than having 21 and Nightmare.
21 is just... 21 meets Saw, and has too much luck involved for my liking. Nightmare is a little more interesting at least, but it's just a Mercenaries mode, more or less. More DLC like Daughters and Bedroom would be great. I have no idea how much is left to release, apart from Not A Hero, which I have a horrible feeling is going to be mostly in an action, FPS style.
i hope they make a dlc on how evelin became what she is. like she had no family and she was taken very by umbrella corp to be bio weapon. her need for family must be when she was in the lab when a scientis tell her a story and what a family is thus explaining her why she wants one and also explain why she wants mia to be her mother. she does not know how normal family works so she created a family of her own because of her insanity and pain and torture because of umbrella corp put her through. make it more emotional
Mia clearly stated in her letter to 'not call the authorities'. Gee, I wonder with what's wrong with calling the BSAA or convincing the Baker family that the tanker has a bioweapon in form of a little girl?
jack ocelot mia and the guy who died during her flashback were her "family" when she was experimented on, to make her feel more comfortable. that is why she is so focused on a new family
she wasn't taken she was created to become a bio weapon meaning she was born in a lab. she was born in 2014 and artificially aged to appear 10. she was injected with something during the embryo stage. she wasn't ever a actually child and altered.
Hopefully in the 'Not a Hero' DLC we can figure out what happened to Zoe, if the ending where you use the serum on Mia is cannon. And also what happened to Lucas as well...but mostly Zoe.
Now Evie become my most hated character of RE series. " I JUST want a family"??? You total can have a family, live with Baker family as a normal person. Instead, you infected everyone, kill more people, and you say " I JUST want a family"???? Ha.
yevon sama she was just a weapon for umbrella, and its likely she has no control over what she does, or umbrella possibly thought a small, isolated group would be ideal for testing on, such as the Spencer mansion in RE1
The DLC makes no sense. Marguerite was going to the doctor for the fungus growing in her brain, implying that the change took time. Now the dlc shows the Baker family turning instantly.
u see the ending of the DLC right? that instantly changes is like never happened, like the ending when zoe suddenly wake up on table with his whole family. when actually that "turning instantly" was really occured, but evelyn made them forget it. after that day, it happened exactly as what dialogue says after the ending of the DLC until 3 years later and he meet ethan. Hope this will cure ur curiousity, ty
The epilogue text said that they were taken over at night, though. So maybe during the day, Eveline's control over them is less strong or even near nonexistent, but they can't remember what happened so they continue their lives as normal under the daylight, which is also the time you'd usually go see a doctor.
Remember at the end, when the Bakers are all sitting at breakfast and eating like normal people? Eveline allowed them to be normal during the daytime. OR probably made them forget the first attack for the same reason. Probably because she initially wanted a normal family. The fact that they went crazy might not have been intentional, just a side effect of her control. Maybe that's also why she gets tired of the Bakers and wants Ethan to be her new father. Because he's seemingly pretty normal, and so is Mia, most of the time.
After playing this I felt so bad for the Bakers they weren't evil people, quite the opposite they were kind hearted folks who trie to help people and got caught up in something they couldn't possibly understand. Except for Lucas after going in his room and reading that he kept someone in the attic until they died he was always messed up and evil but the rest were kind folks
Indeed Lucas was a bad seed, but I think the things he has done (torturing people, being psychopathic) started when the baker's family got infected. He did all this to let Eveline think he was infected en turned, and while doing that in the game there was a log where was shown that he had contact with Umbrella Co. So actually I think he isn't psycho but just smart trying to avoid Eveline and using his survival instinct. (*spoiler*) I think without him having contact with Umbrella, Umbrella wouldn't have arrived at the end.
Jd Maddox His hand grew back because of the same medicine Jack gives you when he cuts off your leg in the game. It will grow together just like his hand.
I mean this is a late reply by like a year but if you read a certain thing in the game it’s implied he killed one of his friends when he was only a kid
This is old but There's a diary entry where Lucas talks about going to the doctor to get a head scan which indicates that something is wrong with him. Well, whatever it is, being turned into a cannibalistic abomination by your own father and then watching as your entire family deteriorates can't possibly be good for your mental health. Eveline's contamination of human beings is described as something horrifying both mentally and physically for the victim, where Eveline can't just take over no matter what or force her way inside their brain, she traumatizes the victim by making them do crazy shit until they aren't strong enough to fight back (in one of the documents in the salt mines). So I think that after what happened to Lucas, even though he isn't under her influence anymore, he was still influenced in the first place and that doesn't just go away. I'm pretty sure he was a little messed up before Eveline got there, but definitely not unhinged like he is in the actual game. I imagine that if Jack or Margarite were cured also, even though they were nice and pretty sane before they were changed, they would be a little.. aloof, possibly still insane, just to a lesser degree. Because it was made very clear in the Ship that their consciouses knew what was going on with their bodies the entire time but couldn't stop it. How do you come back from that?
Random but as someone who lives in Louisiana I’ve always found the reporter saying “some of the parishes” to be weird lol. It’s like if a tornado or something hit another states and the news said “the residents in some of the counties have experienced a lot of damage”. It’s weirdly vague lol
"They're mine now" is so fucking scary that my stomach dropped and I got anxiety like nothing else and had to turn off the audio. Why am I watching this at almost 4am I'm an idiot
This does create more questions though..why does evie not make zoe into a crazy killer but still infected? Zoe is the only one retaining her normal self throughout the game despite being infected just as long as the rest of them and mia has moments of lucidity too but none of the other bakers do they are constantly in crazy mode.
I got an utter shock when I played this DLC. The Bakers were so normal. Loving and caring. Marguerite reminded me of my own granny at times. In the kitchen always cooking away.
Me: where is the damn key for this toolbox. Been searching for literally 3 hours.... Toolbox: look at the computer and come back. Just dont look at the history....
what about the broken bottle that you find in the other locked drawer? I unlocked that on my first run but failed to return to it as Jack was heavily patrolling that area and I went for the garage instead (bad ending).
Was it ever explained how a humongous tanker got into the bayou in Louisiana? Is the ship capable of changing shapes as well? Somehow that's the most implausible part of the game to me haha.
I know this seems terrible but Evie (Child version) is probably my favorite character. She's just so badass. I dislike how she ruined the family, but other than that..
Anylizing So when Lucas died it's mean that his cells is rebooting so he will get a new one Marguerite became a lady bug (pun intended) when giant centipede came out And Jack got infected by probably form Marguerite and then he became invicible So the bad ending means that is a that the minigame is a prequel (i think) to the main game And the good ending means the whole main game will not exist because the family is not infected
It's so heartbreaking to see this family torn apart by their own kindness. They paid the price for being honest and thoughtful people.
A case of the Farmer and the Snake, unfortunately.
On another note, hoping that future Resident Evil games have this kind of quality in writing. Pretty hard to write villains that are both tragic and sympathetic.
pay the price and probably save hundreds what if evie was never found and end up in a city
The Bear Boss Yea just like you pay the price to play fucking 15 minutes of this shit. This should all be include with the main game. Shit is fucking ridiculous.
ikr
At the other hand, You got an awesome looking, bad ass villain Wesker! Man, Resident Evil is good at making villains!
Jack Baker got infected protecting his daughter. It's a shame the Bakers met such a horrible fate because they were kind people.
John Campbell U read the notes about how he was a drunk and hit people?
Yes... and *Lucas* killed a boy, if I remember well.
They were a pretty dysfunctional family beforehand:
Jack was a violent drunk.
Marguerite, I don't know too much about, but she absolutely couldn't accept criticism about her cooking.
Lucas was mentally sick, murdering another kid, BEFORE this all happened (violent father probably didn't help).
I don't know about Zoe, someone else probably knows more, I just gave a basic rundown.
i mean i know lucas was fucked up but zoe just let him get dragged away and get infected, dick move
POWERFUL Furtive Pygmy Then after he knocked out Lucas he infected him via when you see him being dragged
It's so sad seeing how the bakers used to be, they where good people excluding Lucas
Yeah.

This makes me more annoyed that choosing to save Zoe in the main game is such an utterly useless choice...
ChrisKFilms Maybe one of the future dlc's will make it an actual ending. who knows one item can change the entire outcome.
dont worry, you might actually save Zoe by choosing Mia. If you chose Zoe, she won't survive for sure
It'd be kind of fucked up for Ethan to abandon his wife that'd been missing for 3 years and was the reason he even went to the house for some girl who'd helped him out to get the serum and he had just met that day.
Aqua Jet I know, right?!
gamer42j true, there is one future story episode planned beyond 'Not A Hero". maybe more...
Lucas was only infected for a short time. He was cured, he's just a psychopath.
not cured just not able to be controlled by evie he still has the regenerative capabilities because he grows back a hand and rips his nails off like it won't matter at all. he said he did not want to go back to how things were meaning he is still infected.
guitarman0365 I don't see how being able to heal is a bad thing

He gets his arm chopped off and he grows it back, he is infected, the only difference is that he for some reason could keep Evie's mind control at bay, but the dude had mental issues way before everything happened, you can read from an email in the game or some text about how he killed a kid when he was younger.

Tube Gold How? He clearly gets his arm chopped off by his dad in the beginning and he survives and it grows back and he clearly says not again
Lucas just cure himself from the infection. And about the arm, if you get attack by Jack in the game when you're trying to get to the trap door.
Instead of killing you, he would chop your leg off and let you beg for your life, than he gave you the medical vial where you just reattach your leg when you pour on it.

Ethan wasn't infected. The bottles of medicine were just cell regenerative medicine.
Tube Gold then how did he get his arm cut off and shit and have it grow back lmao
I liked when Zoe used the computer it sounded like the older resident evil games
The sounds are actually ripped right out of Resi3 I think. It is when you choose other items in your inventory and selecting menus.
Yes

I think people praise too much that how "good people" Bakers were. in a log found in laptop that i assume was owned by Lucas

I would have problem never have guessed to watch Lucas unlock his phone if it wasn't for this video lol
I feel bad for the bakers. Their own kindness eventually doomed them but atleast since evelines death they can rest in peace
i hope they make a dlc on how evelin became what she is. like she had no family and she was taken very by umbrella corp to be bio weapon. her need for family must be when she was in the lab when a scientis tell her a story and what a family is thus explaining her why she wants one and also explain why she wants mia to be her mother. she does not know how normal family works so she created a family of her own because of her insanity and pain and torture because of umbrella corp put her through. make it more emotional

The DLC makes no sense. Marguerite was going to the doctor for the fungus growing in her brain, implying that the change took time. Now the dlc shows the Baker family turning instantly.

Lucas has a smartphone....and their TV is LCD....so why does they still watch a tape? They are too rich for that
Farm looks old plus there's old house TV on VHS tapes shouldn't be a surprise
This does create more questions though..why does evie not make zoe into a crazy killer but still infected? Zoe is the only one retaining her normal self throughout the game despite being infected just as long as the rest of them and mia has moments of lucidity too but none of the other bakers do they are constantly in crazy mode.
just look at that grand old smile jack is using when holding that knife it looks perfect for the family album lol
well i ended this game and never played this part
I got an utter shock when I played this DLC. The Bakers were so normal. Loving and caring. Marguerite reminded me of my own granny at times. In the kitchen always cooking away.
The house was still creepy even before Evelyn arrived.
Me: where is the damn key for this toolbox. Been searching for literally 3 hours....
Toolbox: look at the computer and come back. Just dont look at the history....
So if lucas isn't infected how did he get his arm back when jack ripped it off
FLYZY Just like when Ethan gets back his arm and leg.
Goop juice man. that's how
FLYZY he's infected just as the rest are but he's immune to the mind control
Okey the girl in the bed scared the shit outta me
it is kinky tho isnt't it
How can you open this 10:01 I can’t do that do I have to investigate the door first?
What if you go to old house?
''i think i fell asleep...''
''i had this weird dream last night''
wait...does that mean that time went super fast?
Five Nights at freddys Suck and this livestream
Either that or she though she was dreaming about the whole day
they remind me of my parents but they can really change moods most of the time
Wasn't it implied thought out the game that the family's transformation took weeks? I'm so confused.
Ian Marshall no I just think Evie lost control at times, and they turned back to normal and it just shifted.
Anthony Mieras ya it's confusing but I think the same thing because didn't she have some sort of medication too
What's so tragic is how much of a pleasant family the baker's were.
Why can't I open dad's toolbox. How did you get the head peace
when i go to the tool box it won't let me open it t just says "Daddys Tool Box"
?????
having the same issue did you work it out
The Baker family seemed so nice before the whole infection craze that made them all insane.
Well that escalated quickly. I thought it was a little gradual infection. She was there 5 mins and they're already going nuts.
what about the broken bottle that you find in the other locked drawer? I unlocked that on my first run but failed to return to it as Jack was heavily patrolling that area and I went for the garage instead (bad ending).
kraajkase You just stab Jack with it automatically.
ok, so I assume it still ends with the bad ending then.
kraajkase
Like what TJ said, it's basically a extra life where if you get caught by _Daddy_ you would stab him till he lets you go
That makes sense. Is there only one lockpick though?
This video is a lie.
It’s not the true ending.
Because obviously Zoe is fine in the regular game.
This is a bullshit video.
And so is the maker of it.
any suggestion how to play this part
If you go through the tunnel, end to end, Margurite should say something like, "Now don't go on though that crawl space.. you get bugs on you" XD
actually impressed with Resident Evil. These dlc's are actually good wow.
Man it's so nice to see the little girl wake up, gain some tension, then immediately get a mcdonalds commercial
I think sometimes when jack talks hes having conflict with himself when he trying to talk
already a DLC? nah more like they locked part of the content and now want to charge for it
JONNY CRASH
Isn't this DLC free though?
that would be my bad i dont know where i heard it wasnt free, thanks for the new info yall
Its not free though?
appearntly is, i was mistaken
Shit, I heard the DLC wasn't free too. I guess I learned something too.
They sure did a good job on making a character you just love to hate. Eveline is an absolute monster that you can't help but hate.
I just like the fact of how jack save zoe from getting infected that is a great father.
How do you learn the password to the computer?
i dont get the ending. Can anyone tell me what it means?
DMC Gaming do you mean the text at the end
they act normal at day and became crazy and shit in night till were all the time
Lucas already knew all events might occurred from the begining,he'd plan all those, with the organization..
I feel so bad for Jack, he really just wanted to help.
The thumbnail looks like it was Kratus
For me, the best part of this dlc in when marguerite say "KISS ME LOVER" laugh my ass of
what's worse is the fact no matter what zoey dies no matter what you do after she did so much to survive
I like how jack almost killed Zoe but he controlled him self
wen your playing through the game you just hate the family but wen you play this dlc you feel bad for them
Was it ever explained how a humongous tanker got into the bayou in Louisiana? Is the ship capable of changing shapes as well? Somehow that's the most implausible part of the game to me haha.
They looked like a happy and nice family first.
Damn Eveline for tearing this innocent and kind family apart.
The family is so nice normally..
what we learn today ?
if you're find little lost girl... don't take her to your home !! darm old man !
Ikhwan Production They didnt know bruh
DAMN THAT TV HAS SOME GRAPHICS!!!!
Cleanliness is godliness and I'd say she's pretty close to meeting him right now. HAD ME DYING
Kinda makes you wish there was a way to make the Bakers this sweet again
This was sad
I always felt bad about what happened to them. They where such nice people.
I can only imagine how tramatic this was for Zoe
Whenever I try to open the toolbox it just keeps saying, (it's daddy's toolbox) and then it doesn't let me open it.
They are not bad I feel that evie's "gift" is only in everyone's head
When I saw the thumbnail i was thinking is kratos from the GOD OF WAR
I know this seems terrible but Evie (Child version) is probably my favorite character. She's just so badass. I dislike how she ruined the family, but other than that..
Anylizing
So when Lucas died it's mean that his cells is rebooting so he will get a new one
Marguerite became a lady bug (pun intended) when giant centipede came out
And Jack got infected by probably form Marguerite and then he became invicible
So the bad ending means that is a that the minigame is a prequel (i think) to the main game
And the good ending means the whole main game will not exist because the family is not infected
Screaming Eagle there's no good ending just fake and true(bad) ending
