As a believer, I'm always glad to be here because I won't be hearing any bad words or vulgar innuendos. Y'all are always fun to watch as well as learning new recipes which I love. In this world of darkness and on a downward spiral, I enjoy positive pleasure from this channel. Please don't ever change. Y'all are an inspiration for good food, lots of laughs, and fellowship. God bless each one of you.

@maxine7088 YES and AMENNNNN! Had a conversation last night with my most unlikely but truest friend of many years who has the mouth of a stevedore. She asked if I knew how hard it is for her to talk with me because she has to work so hard to keep it clean. I want clean movies, clean reads and clean conversations.

Dear Mandy, if you prepare the fish before hand and store in the fridge 20-30 minutes before cooking, the panko will crisp up more creating a more restaurant-like fish. This allows the breading ingredients to better adhere to the fish. This helpful hint came from a well renowned chef!

For a neat twist on sloppy joes, try having it on garlic Texas toast. Basically make your sloppy joe mixture as you would normally. while that is cooking/simmering. Bake the Texas toast per package directions. Once both are done. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture on top of the Texas toast and top with a slice of Provolone cheese and then put back in the oven for like 3-5 minutes to melt the cheese. Its so good!!

One of my local food bloggers I watch prays before he eats. I know this because of the way he films and there is a visable pause in the filming after he films folding his hands and then pauses the video and comes back when he says amen and has his catch phrase that starts his videos. I find it very nice to know he has his prayer but keeps it personal between him and God. Thank you for answering that question honestly and openly. Your content is amazing, your personal life should be yours.

Hi! I just discovered you a few weeks ago and LOVE your channel! I made the Boursin chicken a few nights ago and it was a big hit with my hubby (and me!). Last night I made your garlic parmesan orzo and that was also delicious! Prayers for your sister -- hope everything goes exactly right!

Just a quick FYI. You can brush your chicken , pork, beef and fish, anything your breading. With sour creme, flavored sour creams, yogurt, chip dips or good Ole mayo to lock in the moisture.❤ yall are family to me.🎉

A great tip for garlic when u have that many cloves is to use a mallet. Like a meat mallet. It works the same way as using the knife and smashing it but it's much easier and works better. I smash them pretty hard then it crushed them and the skin comes right off and it's much easier to dice up

When you have multiple cloves of garlic, an easy way to get the skins off is to put them in a glass jar and shake the jar. Separates the skin from the close beautifully.

Mandy cut off the hard root end of the garlic clove before smashing it with your knife, then pick up the smashed clove by the other end/tail and slap it downward on your cutting board until the skin slips off in your fingers. My mom showed me this years ago when she saw me struggling to peel the skins off 40 cloves of garlic for a recipe OR you could just use your gadget. lol I have one of those tube peelers but I always seem to do it the way mom taught me. 🥰 Prayers for you sister. 🙏🏻✝

I do the smacking trick "with confidence", lol. First, cut the bottom end of the clove off (that dry area which keeps the cloves together in a bulb). Then, lay the clove flat on its side (like a mountain), and then smack down hard enough that it cracks at least half of the clove. Works like a charm all the time. Although, I will admit that garlic with thick dry skin is a lot easier to peel then a fresh garlic that just got harvested from the garden (which has younger thin skin).

I have a recipe for a sauce/dip for fried fish. I call it Matt's Fish Taco Sauce since he developed it. He's my son
1/2 cup each: Greek yogurt OR sour cream and Dukes mayonnaise.
    1 1/2 Tbsp lime juice
    1 minced jalapeño
1/2 tsp each: oregano, cumin, and dill.
    1 tsp cayenne
Notes: I use jalapeño paste in a tube. Both Sour Cream and Greek yogurt work well. Use your own tastes on the amount of jalapeño and cayenne.
This is delicious. Tangy and spicy.
