there were tons of sh$tty bands and songs then too....we tend to look at what we grow up with as the "best" and bemoan what is out now....I grew up with this stuff so I like it I would say...all pop music is aimed at kids...you and I aren't kids anymore so we aren't what they are aiming at
@@richbailey8174 I prefer to hear the shitty bands from yesterday than to hear any of the bands of today including those good bands you're talking about.
Music then was incredible great. Vocals and words were CLEARLY heard. Best times in the 60's and 70's. Words, vocals, lyrics were so clear and anyone could sing along. Instruments were not too loud, overwhelming the voices. Stupendous music.
@@tominnc315A "TV track" is all the music on the record, minus the lead vocal. Sometmes, it's minus all of the vocals. That is why you used to see bands on TV shows with none of the guitars plugged in. That was before the wireless hookups that guitarists can use today.
Great summer time songs on the AM radio during summertime when we didn't have air-conditioning. We were just happy with what we had.My 1st job paid me at the age of 13,.25c per hour.
The story they tell is that some guy dropped off a demo tape at a radio station of 3-4 songs he had written that he wanted the Buckinghams to record. The songs turned into big hits.

A great band… the music of the period was incredible…. We have sunk so low in 2024….
Sure was a great time. This song brings back so many memories.

It’s not just the songs I remember from this time it was the whole way of life
An era with the strongest identity!
@@MusiciansWithVision I think it's because everything was so new then, the Beatles, Motown, the Mamas and the Papas.
The beautiful, magical 60'S music would open heaven's doors & Love would flow upon the Earth in those days. ❤❤❤
Yeah! what happened? The 50's & 60'swere great.
music is like a time machine.
And the best music stands the test of time!

We need the 60s, 70s, and 80s back. The 2020s SUCK!!!!!!!!
Your on the right track..Robert at 68. You recognize real talent and music.
Yep, glad I experienced those decades.
You got that right dude. They will never understand what they missed.

So many great groups in 1967 loved the buckinghams
A time when America was great.
In one word Vietnam was not so great
Before all the drugs became mainstream!
@@loricone3184 a time before prohibition??
Yes and i didn’t realize at the time just how great it was.
@@genaroprieto57 Yes, you are so right. Innocent people forced to fight a super power. That war was started by a false flag. Thank you.
Nothing like the 60’s. Great bands. 🤩
One of my favorite bands from the 60s.
One of many great songs of that era. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cant explain the mood the two chords express in the best Buckinghams song in those days.
Yeah, these chords (from 1960's) are still different to me 2024 and very fresh to hear. Love this music.
Its amazing you can hear the first few chords of a song and it takes ya back to jr high and am radio.
Wow, that's exactly what I was thinking.
a great time to love music
Thank you for bringing back a memory back from my 60’s. The greatest decade and can never be replaced!
So much great music back then, tunes with identity, memorable tunes!
You Misunderstand Me is another really nice tune of theirs.
I'm right there with you @Vicki1951. The 60s was indeed the best decade for music imo. I'm 74 yo and it is definitely my favorite.
"mmmmmmm my my mymy baby.."... ( I just had to say that!)
I feel that this can be done again...Class never goes out of style.
Awesome band, nothing compares to them. Listening from the Philippines October 23, 2023
Check out The Left Banke!
Hi there from America. 😊
already addicted to that band.
Great music 🎵🎵🎵🎵
Hi
Horn arrangement by the same guy who produced Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears
Chicago is my favorite band, love the horns
James Guercio
This was one of the songs that shaped the 60s for me
I was a kid who liked music and I remember this!
❤❤❤
Saw them 10 years ago at a Fair here in southern Calif. They sang all there hits. Still sounded wonderful !
There are no Buckinghams without Dennis Tufano. Bands that go around without the original lead singers are bogus.
Great song. Very nostalgic.
Tommy Smothers,a great singer, sad he passed away May Tommy Smothers,RIP💐
One of my favorite songs from the 60's. Love this song!!
Love this song Don’t you care❤🙏 Now that Tommy Smothers just passed away a few days ago makes this song clip “extra special “❣🌟🌹
And l hated him
Oh I soooo love this song. ❤❤❤❤😂
Great band with fantastic lead singer vocalist and perfect guitarist and drummer. Talented musicians.
keyboard too
Drummer also played trumpet (brass section) at live appearances.
Wow some of those 60s sad love songs just hit you where it hurts .....
their lead singer is so cool.
One of the most important songs of all times.
Beatiful song, very nice
Oh, the days of bands singing to a TV track. No horns in sight, but there they are.
Its a tad confusing cause i feel like i hear a live vocal?

I fell in love with Dennis Tufano when I was 10. It was a wonderfol summer in Chicago for me.
Sixties Britain was the very great music 🎶
The Buckinghams were from Chicago, USA.

Great group....the keyboard player looks and acts like the same in the Dave Clark Five
yes! One of my favorites from OMG...the sixties! This was real good music and I really wish you were blessed to be there!!
He looks like Tom Cruise a bit? Totally awesome song & performance albiet partially live
Jordan brothers from Pennsylvania did this song first same record company as Spencer he took it national
Love this song
Smooth 😊
exactly
Miss the music. Don’t miss the hairstyles with the bangs.
Have you always been a bit of a fuddy-duddy? Stick to praising the music, leave your conventional ideology out of it!
WLS Chicago made this one of my favorite hit records.
Absolutely loved this jam. But where's the horns?
Never heard of this song. Heard of Buckinghams. Being a child of 60’s I like it now but wouldn’t have been strong enough to make it in UK.
dennis tufano same age as me dec 6th 1947
south side
of chicago
they seemed like adults to us teen rockers
Like the horns I guess none of the musicians play the horns Thought a couple of them did
love 60s music
Adolescent love...same old song
So did the 80,s
,CHIPPER BAILEY
Does anyone well versed in ear training know what the discordant chord is that plays in this song. I'm guessing a 13th something. Anyone ?
THEY ALL CARE , ALL 19 OF THEM...................
I WILL CARE .
They never show the horns.
I find they usually don't.
Where's the horn section? 😅
Who is playing the horns?????
Not live, but lip synching
Who wrote this?
The story they tell is that some guy dropped off a demo tape at a radio station of 3-4 songs he had written that he wanted the Buckinghams to record. The songs turned into big hits.
Boo hoo
