    I'm a white belt in BJJ (110 classes so far) Saturday a striped out blue belt caught me in a triangle and I immediately started this escape. As soon as I started, he let go. I don't even know If I was doing it right, LOL!!!

      He probably gave up because you did the right thing. Congrats...that's what happens when they feel you are doing the right move. :)

      You did it right. Your opponent figured that you were doing the right move and gave up on the sub :)

The way you were explaining about breaking the lock when your breathing goes off makes your instructions so realistic from a competition point of view.     Nice details i use a similair way to escape at judo. Class change angle and drive your head into him i wish somebody taught me had to figure it out nice job

    hello, in the second escape, why do you trap his left arm during all the process?

      It's so they can't use that arm to block your leg coming over. Added benefit is you can trap that arm when your leg is over. It's also one less limb available to them for correcting the angle and fighting to keep you in the triangle.

    If I try the scape from the locked triangle (the third one) I could hurt the knee or the toe of my training partner if he doesn't open their legs? Sorry for my bad English xD

      Keenan's way works very well for me...with less steps and easier...again...for me.

      @@garrydye2394 it work well for me too if they stay square, but if the bottom guy moves his hips out (while squeezing) to adjust his they usually have me.
