I should have added the "9th type" which is 70% of us.. just automotive/corvette enthusiast in general. Nothing too exciting to bullet point on. Theses are all of the "fringe" type Vette guys..
I am one of these! On my second C5 currently. Bought it because it was cheap and fast and now I am making it faster with a cam installation in progress! Also taking care of a lot of deferred maintenance.
Forgot the: owner who trailers his Corvette everywhere; the Z06/ZR1 snobs; the "I know what I got" selling base C6 over $50k; the "carbon-fiber everywhere" ... so many.
One more to add as number 9. The over 65 crowd Vette owners in my club won't go over 50 if their life depended on it. When i lead a cruise, it's balls to the walls in the curves and straightaways. We wind up pulling off the road and wait for 5-6 minutes so the Sunday drivers can catch up.
I'm the other type of vette owner that got my first one(C5) at 48 that just knows enough to get myself in waaaay over my head in repairs . Resourceful enough to research solutions from others experience. Faking like i have " corvette money" but have a Ford Pinto budget. Dumped more money in cosmetic mods than it will ever be worth. Saving for drive train upgrades when it takes a shit so have to put up with the " Stink Eye" from all the motor heads when they find out I spent all that money on other crap other than horsepower! Other than that , I can say I fall under at least 3 of your categories!!! Btw, over here in Deep Creek section of Chesapeake!
Very funny. How about the car show king , with the Corvette folding, event style chair . BTW, we need a**hole #7. One of the best ways real Corvette people score killer deals.
Lmao I'm #6. I got a Corvette only cause my previous car finally died on me. I had the money so I thought what the hell. I cant tell you anything about this car. I just drive it cause it looks cool lol.
Additional Corvette Guys: - the know everything about Corvettes Corvette guy - knows production numbers and color names for every year; engine/transmission options - has a map of the USA with last known location of all the "fuelies". He's usually single and has few friends because he always has to be right about Corvette facts. - the only Corvettes that have round tail lights or oval tail lights guy. C4's, C7's and C8's are not true Corvette - the one of one Corvette Corvette guy - every Corvette he's ever owned was a one of one (mostly based on odd color combos or interior options - but heck it's a 1 of 1 and it will be worth a million dollars some day. - only orders his Corvette Corvette guy - he's similar to one of one Corvette guy but less obnoxious - buys a new Corvette (orders) every 3 or 5 years, trades in the old one with 3,000 - 5,000 miles on it, complains that he's lost $15-20k - always gets the same colors (typically silver with red interior and chrome wheels) - always in LT2 trim. - Corvette logo guy - has clothing (especially jackets and sweater vests), schwag, posters, die-cast, dishware, travel mugs, Christmas ornaments, floor mats, Corvette battery tender, even Corvette luggage but no actual Corvette. Total investment in Corvette accessories $62,000 - could have bought a nice used C7 Corvette. - used to have a Corvette Corvette guy - had one or more Corvettes in the past but for some silly reason (not had to sell it for financial or marital reasons) sold them - you feel sorry (but not too sorry) for used to have Corvette Corvette guy - just buy another 'vette damn it... - Corvette past her prime lady - supper nice woman - the Corvette does make her a bit more attractive but not _that much more_ attractive - she has many more quirks than features and possibly eight cats. - Psycho Corvette girl - she drives a Corvette - cool. She's psycho - not cool. - bucket list Corvette guy - he always wanted one, bought at that Chevy dealership that sells 2 Corvettes a year - will trade it in 18 months later for a Trail Blazer - lost $19,000 - you really feel sorry for bucket list Corvette guy but hey at least he owned a Corvette. - Corvette guy list maker Corvette guy - watches various Corvette RUclips channels - knows enough about Corvette to carry on a decent conversation with someone who knows a lot about Corvette - will some day own a Corvette - probably a C7 Grand Sport but today drives a 2017 MX-5 RF.
I'm a daily driver 22 years old . 2003 z06 I still take care of it, it's hard to enjoy something that sits and it gets better milage than my Honda and old ford truck at least till I cam it
Ayy 22 year older here. Need a car and thinking of getting one to drive to work. The way I see it is it's a couple thousand more than a corolla with the same mileage.
I think I'm becoming a COLLECTOR as I've bought three over the last few years. But maybe not as I always sell off the last one. Impressed that there was no mention of Jorts or New Balance Sneaks....or did I miss that?
The old fart who wears new balances a polo shirt sometimes with an corvette emblem on it as well as either Khakis or jean shorts most likely wearing a baseball cap. Most of the time knows alot about corvettes and the one he drives is his child. Or the new blood normal a young guy who grew up with one and now has one most likey his dad was the old fart lol
@@VetOnVettes yea my first car was an 85 honestly broke every week. sold it to buy a wrangler for college that was in the mountains... finally 10 years later was able to get my c7 and im in love.

You forgot the rare rare rare rare rare rare rare owner
😂
I’m 26, drive a C4 sometimes like an asshole but most times I baby the car. Doing a full restoration on it, almost done too.
Nice man
Nice

Yeah. I'm a hybrid of a few and a generic Corvette enthusiast ( which isn't very exciting to categorize)
