  • In this video, we visited the wealthiest neighborhood in the Philippines. It's in Makati, Manila, beside Bonifacio Global City (BGC). It's a gated community where lots of rich and powerful Filipinos live. Many people compare it to Beverly Hills in America.

    the most expensive gated village is Dasmariñas Village and Forbes Park comes 2nd. There are a lot of gated villages all over metro manila with million dollar mansions (bel-air, Magallanes, urdaneta, green hills, new manila, valle Verde, horse shoe, Ayala heights, Tierra Pura, Ayala hillside estates, Corinthians, wack wack, palladium, white plains, green Meadows, Loyola grand villas, McKinley hills, la Vista and the list goes on etc. The least price is probably 2 million US dollars)

      Been both inside Dasmariñas Village and Forbes Park South both in Makati next to BGC. Dasma is more modern and has more fancy and big mansions than Forbes Park. But its in Forbes Park where you can find the bigger mansions of the ultra rich of the Philippines. You can't see the actual houses as the walls are High and the design were suited for long time ago but it is only in this village where I see helicopters next to the rows of vehicles. Hahahahaha just imagine how big the property inside those walled residences to accommodate a hangar and helipad. I saw once in the residence of Danding Cojuangco in Forbes ŵhen the gate was open coz they were cleaning the garage. Some mansions in Dasma doesn't have a wall in front but rather have manicured garden with design. We were there to deliver 50 sacks of 50kilo sugar for a charity event during Christmas. Most of the wives of the rich hacienderos in Bacolod and Negros would always have this charity event and they wanted to repack the sugar in the residence of Ledesma family. We've been going around for more than an hour looking for a house with a mailbox infront. We even reach the school campus inside the village. Sàn Àgustin i think. And the security already chased us and wanted us to go back to the gate. Then around 5pm, most of the gardeners came out to water the plants outside and one ask us which house we are looking for. When we said the Ledesma he pointed the house on the other side. His boss is also a haciendera and we speak the same Ilonggo dialect. True there was a mailbox but was put down next to the garage as it was knockdown during the typhoon. Hahahahaha
      You will also love San Lorenzo Village, Makati The ambiance inside the village is different. It has a lot of trees and rhe birds chirping are everywhere. Assumption College exclusive school for girls is inside.
      Ayala Alabang Village is a super modern ultra rich village. It's like the next generation of Forbes Park family lives here. Hahahaha. You can find unique and different designs of mansions. La Salle Zobel is inside this village. What makes it unique is the preservation of rhe mango trees as per request by the Madrigal family. Each mansion in Kaliwa or Kanan area have a Mango tree inside their lot and usually the design of the mansion and the pool would usually be based on where the tree is. It's in this village where you can find unique house designs and gardens. There's like a desert 🏜 like a countryside, like a native, like a European style. The movie about the Marcoses leaving the country was filmed there. The mansion in the corner of Ambuklao and Maria Kristina was used as Malacañàng. Streets on Kaliwa (Left) are usually named after waterfalls or dams or mountains while in Kanan (Right) are usually named after flowers and trees. Each street were planted with the same tree on the whole street like Pili in Ambuklao. You can't touch the tree even if it fell down during typhoon or water them during summer. The village maintain them including the cutting of grasses on empty lots. Acacia trees line up the four lane road when you enter either Kaliwa or Kanan gates. Been in Ayala for two years in the late eighties and early nineties. Those were the days. I think there's really a big improvement now and a lot more mansions. Before it was only a few that's why we were allowed to take some mangoes in empty lots. Heard that an American private school, Woodrose School or Academy is already operational and I saw it was featured during ASEAN games when Thailand was complaining that they don't have a field to practice and the school offered their campus. In Ayala Alabang Village, you will never feel that you're in the Philippines, you'll say you're in Europe or USA. But in this village you will feel and see how powerful the rich are and how powerless the poor is. That's my opinion. Hahahahaha
      Would love to see Wack walk Village and Alabang Hills too. It's where the BRINT School is located. (British International School)
      Just imagine also what could provinces outside Manila could.offer. About these mansions we are talking. But I think this is already very long. Thank you for reading.

      Philippines is a very poor and underdeveloped country. According to the world bank, 37% of the population still live in slums as of 2021. With a gdp per capita (PPP) of 11420 in 2023, which is only half of the world average of 22226, making it one of the poorest countries in the world.

    Nope Makati (Forbes Park,San Antonio hills, Magallanes) which are gated Subds,houses that ranged from 4 to 12M USD,Alabang and Tagaytay are some of the riches live those in BGC’s are mostly Condo’s and still new, during sundays all the luxury cars come out on the streets of BGC on a group chances are you can find lambourgini, porsce with those kind, you got those idea of politicians owning luxuries way back on the 80’s😅

    That's not the area where the Filipino rich live. They live in Ayala-Alabang in Mandaluyong City, south of Manila. 20-30 minute drive from BGC if normal traffic.

    • @gladysroca4007
      @gladysroca4007 Год назад

      Ayala Alabang Village is not in Mandaluyong. It is in Alabang, a short drive from Alabang Zapote Road. The village is so huge that it has four entrances: Alabang gate. Muntinlupa, Las Piñas and Imus Cavite. But the Alabang Gate which comprises of Kaliwa(Left) and Kanan (Right) gates are where the riches of the rich are. The gates open to a four lane road lined with Acacia trees. In Kaliwa area the streets are named after dams and waterfalls and rivers and mountains while in Kanan area, the streets are named after flowers and trees. I think the Manalo mansion is in Bougainvillea Street. Jaworkski mansion is in Maria Kristina (Falls) Street. Ramon Fernández mansion is in San Bernardino (Dam) Street and so on and so forth. Only phase 1 with all those mango trees are.resided by the rich and the famous. There's La Salle, Zobel school there along Maria Kristina Road. And the Woodrose (American) School there in in phase 3 i think. It was featured during SEA GAMES When Thailand complained that they have no field to practice and the school offered the football field in the campus. It looks like school in Europe. Lived there for two years during the coup de tat days. I mean late eighties. Those were the days. But living in Ayala Alabang one could experience and feel how powerful the rich are and how powerless the rich is. That's on my own opinion.
