- Hi everyone 👋🏾! Hope you all are doing well and having a wonderful and blessed weekend 🥰. In this video, I’m going to FINALLY be cleaning out the landscaped areas in my front yard space. 🐣 Please , please, please do not stick faux plants in your garden! Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a few hostas to plant. After a while the faux plants will surely fade. It's Spring, girl! Let NATURE do it's thing.

Carolina, you work so hard on your yard and it looks beautiful. Why don't you use Preen Weed Preventer on your borders and a weed preventer for the grass areas. Eventually even though you cover your ground with cardboard the weed seeds will fall into the mulch and grow. Thanks for sharing your DIY projects on your home🤗

@@diysbycarolina8622Preen is very effective but get this, it kills the earth worms. 😢😮 Took me almost two years to eradicate it from my garden and get those worms back. We need worms in our gardens! If you weed regularly you’ll eventually get them under control. Just some gardeners advice. Happy gardening!

@diysbycarolina8622 Carolina, I love watching your videos. You inspire to keep pushing. I just wanted to educate you on the day of rest. Please don't take offense to this, I am just sharing. The day of rest is Saturday. It say so in the Bible, the 4th commandment. The catholic church changed the day of rest and worship. I was raised a Roman Catholic from birth. But as time went by I excluded myself from denomination and stuck to what the Bible says. Next you had some beautiful trees in your yard 😢 so sad you took them down. However, there is shade seeds you can buy to help you grow out those bald spots. To reiterate I love watching your videos and I hope I haven't offended you in anyway form or fashion by sharing knowledge with you. Love ❤️ you my Sistah. You always do an excellent job on your yard. Because of you I have decided to do my own walkway in my backyard and go back to mowing my own lawn. I have been hiring handyman to do my designs. Sometimes I have to wait months for him to do a job. I could never take offense to something as important as God's commandments, because this is obviously something I wasn't aware of. Growing up and being raised in church, we were taught that Sunday was the day of worship and rest. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this in detail and I'm so glad you find these videos inspiration. @diysbycarolina8622 I am so happy 😊 for your response. I, too, as I said in my prior response, was raised in the Catholic church and honey they thought us nothing!!! I ended up getting baptized in a Baptist church. I learned a lot from them because they do teach the Bible !! Well, from there on, I started reading and searching, and lo and behold, I found out about the Sabbath and many, many more information about the churches. Hosea 4:6 my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. There are so many things man hid from us. So, I made it my business to read the Bible and ask a lot of questions. Anyway, I don't want to be long-winded. Go to RUclips and type in " Catholic Bishop confessed that they changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Saturday." it's a very interesting video
I actually like those faux plants. Y'all don't get snow like we do in the midwest so they shouldn't fade much or flatten out. I have faux plants in a flower pot and they have not faded even through our harsh -20 winters.

I did that last year too 😂. It was cheaper and no water needed. Get more to make it fuller. Remember when the winter comes take them out and wash them and put them back out next season. Love your channel.

Looks great! I went to Lowe’s today and bought edging and landscape paper to start a bed. I want to plant a Japanese Maple in the middle!!

Use the black plastic sheeting from Home Depot instead of the board stuff. Ive had it in my yard for 3 years now with not 1 weed growing through. But trust me it was trial and error, I tried so many different things including weed fabric, cardboard, etc.
I may have to look into getting some, but right now I’m able to get the card for free 😂. The card board actually lasts a while if you layer it.
Using faux plants is fine, just keep an eye on them for fading, I use flowers from Temu, they are meant for outdoors, & a great price for sooooo many

Love the fake plants, I bought some last year off Amazon. I ordered more this year I have planters at the end of my driveway. It’s hard to carry water so I just use them.

I just clicked on this particular video and I’m hearing you say you don’t do any work on Sunday because it’s a day of rest, thus says the Lord….I would be remiss if I didn’t say anything regarding that comment…however, respectfully, of course, the seventh day (Saturday) is the designated/sanctified Sabbath day of rest, thus says the Lord. Again, you’re doing a great job on your projects. 😊

Unfortunately that’s as long as it will go🤦🏾♀️. It’s a really old weed eater. I’ll definitely have to invest in another one soon.

I love the faux plants! I always buy faux flowers and put them in my garden urns outside. I usually buy those regular fabric ones from dollar tree, and I’ll give them a quick once over with a clear coat. They last, and I use the same ones every season (I have the same ones for spring/summer, fall, and Christmas). ❤❤

I use rubber mulch and I like it better than wood mulch. Also I don't worry about termites and bugs. The rubber mulch don't fade like wood mulch.
That's basically dumping old tires in the garden. No way to remove it, doesn't decay. One of the worst gardening horrors, besides artificial turf and extensive, permanent spaces with weed fabric and gravel on top.
You would save money if you bought variegated mondo grass. Your yard is beautiful. The faux flowers are going to take away the beauty from your yard.

Sorry, but with plastic plants, it's really getting bad. I didn't notice before, but the flowers along the walkway also look like plastic. In my opinion, gardens shall have real plants and no plastic, unless really needed. Also, mulch areas should be only temporary, until a full cover has grown, not permanent. Those weeds will quickly regrow, especially when mulch decomposes and accumulates dust.

Great job on yard.Friday is Preparation Day; also called Good Friday during Easter because its the day that Jesus was crucified,his body was taken down,wrapped in cloth,laid in tomb. And,the women prepared the spices/perfume for His body.Luke 23:23-54
Sabbath is the day of rest because the women who had prepared the spices/perfume rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the 4th commandment. Luke 23:55-56, Exodus 20:8-11
Sunday is the first day of the week,called the Lord's day or Resurrecrion Day because of His resurrection, when the women took the spices & perfumes they had prepared for the Lord Jesus' body. His body was not longer in the tomb because He had been resurrected Luke 24:1-3
Just FYI. Didn't want anyone to be misled. Its in the bible in account of Jesus Christ's death & resurrection aka Easter
