The instruments fighting the vocals are very adequate considering the context of the boss fight and the story. Not only are we fighting a uphill battle at this time but we are also trying to rescue someone, both historically important and crucial in the story, from the clutches of insanity. That's why i feel even though the lead vocal may sound drowned out, its more fitting than anything.
You know like in those movie scenes where there's multiple contrasting emotions of the main character being reflected in each shard of glass rapidly flying towards him. that's how this feels like but in sound instead of visuals.
At least for me, the moment it looped happened usually when 2nd phaze started, the moment you needed to lock in and pay attention. Was very cool experience when music made you lock in
It just has roughly same melody. We may never know what was it - pure coincidence (which happens in music much more often than you could imagine). Or maybe Cosmo actually borrowed it because reasons. Or maybe it was just his subconscious playing games with him, and he thought it original while he heard it earlier and just forgot it.
I think it is composed with the consideration of the boss's winding up, attack patterns, and qtes. So it would be better to look at the track when playing the boss too
8:43 the "wall" you talked about, was not my favorite as well, it sounded like the volume was turned up and down instead of adding bass or depth to it. which kind of hurted my ears every time I had full volume in game.
It's reminiscent of launch day Nikke ost, just a good beat with nice lyric from sampling other songs. Love me some Pernelle and B.A Wheeler, but this kind of song is what makes me fall in love with the game OST firstly
Thanks for your reaction xD Very detailed pros and cons as always. I also likes Cosmograph actually received critics to them to do more :3 Now please continue with "Dark Matter", "Metal Strike", "You've Always Got Me", "Hero" and "Ominous Cross" xD
nice video but I want to ask really quickly, what is the ending song called? I love the sound of it! Is it from Blue Archive? I feel like i heard something similar from there
@@CatharsisYT Hell yeah, I knew it! Thanks and also thanks for going so much into how you feel when listening to songs! It makes those reactions much more interesting
Brother can i request you to react to Tempest and THE CHALLENGER First time listening to Tempest it gives me flashback about how epic when Superman learns how to fly for the first time (sounds kind of similar to Hans Zimmer - Flight) Can't wait for your reaction 🔥
It's especially on tone if you consider the themes tend to reflect the boss they're for. The Mirror Container boss has way too much going on in terms of gimmicks, and visually there's a lot of animations that revolve around the container opening and closing, being wrapped up in the defensive shields then releasing them to attack. It's a hectic boss fight with layers to the gimmick, and honestly an annoying fight if you're not prepared for it. Like the song, just when you think you've got your bearings, a new gimmick or layer comes out and you as a player (or listener to the song) have to get used to a new thing, for better or worse.
Man i don't know if you've reacted to this already, i searched and i couldn't find a reaction so I'm pretty no one did yet, but can you please react to "The Neverending Dream" by Yu-peng chen

Some of the songs are very thematic for the story and hard to fully appreciate without the context of the events behind them.
@@Spectacular_Insanity The giant fortress enemy has one of the hardest drops ever in the game and I love it.

90% of my motivation for pushing the Hard Mode campaign in Nikke is to get these tracks unlocked, lol.

Got slapped with a slipper fr
As much as I absolutely hated this boss in chapter 32 story (380k power team getting walloped by the quad def% up shields) the boss music was worth it
Playing Normal on Hard is maddening lmao
Dark Matter from NieN & Cosmograph please
2:43 those vocals in the background sounds very similar to "my brother" ,an ost from berserk
LOL i asked one of my IRL buds the same thing, and they also agreed. I think it uses the same sample.
