i am sure Mr. Dio would not expect or even want Doro to sound "just like him". NO ONE can anyway. imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. i happen to like the way she sings it and think the band does Dio's songs pretty damn well too. Doro is an amazing artist (voice and music) and still put out solid cds that sound like "classic Doro" after all these years.... doin' it right without selling out. 99% of other bands after their hay-day just cant get that classic sound/feel back. Doro does.

Doro and Ann Boleyn are both excellent but very different. IIMO Doro sounds more female than Ann Boleyn. Doro's voice is not as powerful or low as Ann Boleyn. The thing that is unique about Ann Boleyn and RJD is that both Dio and Ann's voices make both male and female sounds. I don't know if that makes sense, but sometimes RJD sounds very female when he sings soft, and sometimes Ann sounds too powerful to be female. No disrespect is intended. I am a big fan of all of these singers.

Her and Ronnie were very close friends and when we toured together her and Ronnie hung out all the time cause of their mutual respect for one another and it rubs off sometimes!! I'm in a musical bubble each night....cause each and every chord and note is connected to over decades of memories.......and ones not so easily to face!!!!
@@TCraigGoldy I have played guitar and Bass for decades, I do not really enjoy to listen to the music as i used to do, I can't relax by music for real since my head are processing like crazy during the listening, The only music i listen to for the pleasure alone is Punjabi Rai because i can't understand a word, And by this genre i can not make any pararllels that much.
@@TCraigGoldy If i where on the guitar with her, one arm lenght away i would feel humble and stiff like a rock for fear for fucking up on the guitar. This is the next most scary thing beside being close to God.
